When I eat something constantly, I start to hate it and cannot eat it anymore. Happend with salmon and feta
Bacon, eggs, ground beef, sardines, tuna
This is actually genius way to think about it. Thank you.
Menudo is definitely high in fat.
That’s my problem I love different varieties of food and I do have a food addiction I am 45 and just got told by my doctor I am insulin resistant despite my good A1c and healthy fasting glucose. I knew something was wrong when I did alternate day fasting and actually gained a pound at the end of the month. According to my doctor no matter how hard I try with insulin resistance the progress will always be very very slow and she wants me to start a medication but she has to review my insurance and see what’s the best fit I am adamant about not taking weight loss drugs so I will make my food Tuna eggs bacon chicken thighs and maybe some broccoli. I love sweet potatoes and black bean bowls but for now I will give them up and for context i have healthy labs but I’m also considered obese for my height. This has been a battle as a 45 year old woman
Pork meat contains high amount of parasites
Now that food and drinks is not my entertainment anymore, I have a bigger fun life, I go for hikes, love the gym, spend more time with my animals. I being enjoy my 2 meals a day on trips, go to the airport and see everyone snacking, coffee… I can see the insuline
In people’s bodies and faces. I am glad I that I stop that way. I am feeling more health and content.
I have adhd. I don't even have to try. I will eat the same thing for a month straight.
I completely disagree. I think we need a variety of options on our plate and keto offers that with a balanced diet that you should not be eating the same things over and over because you're going to be missing out on essential vitamins and nutrients
Animal (saturated) fat is poison for your mitochondria and cholesterol. Avoid butter.
Do keto without it.
If you hate sardines, buy wild salmon burgers instead. No can, taste wonderful, no fishiness, and costs the same as cans of sardines.
Trident Wild caught salmon burgers; $20 for 12 at Costco.
Pork rinds for zero carb crunchy snacks, dipped in guacamole/avocado.
Kimchi instead of boring sauerkraut (Jongga real Korean kimchi at Costco.)
Put EVOO on your salmon or other food but it must be high polyphenol (spicy.)
That only lasts for so long….
I am not convinced. Dr Boz looks much worse than four years ago. Maybe the extremities are not that good in the long run?
Egg whites, whole eggs, spinach, olives, feta cheese. Protein powder, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, ground flax, 100% cacao, peanut butter, collagen, almond milk. Chicken thighs, ground beef, steak, salmon, broccoli, brussel sprouts, nutritional yeast, hemp hearts. Green tea with MCT oil and lemon juice 👌
In the clip what are you eating with the sardines? What is in your hand? I find if I have labneh with them I can eat them ok but not on their own.
That's delicious…not boring at all 🎉
Hoy soy aburrido desayune con una salsita revuelta con dos huevos entero
Cuando llegue de la iglesia me comí dos cucharadas de mantequilla….y tomate agua hasta las cinco de la tarde…
Ahora voy aprender a manejar
Thanks Dr. Boz
pork belly is DELISH!!
Makes perfect sense that this would work. One question: I thought or heard that eating the same foods too often for too long can lead to developing a sensitivity to those same foods. So that they begin to trigger an immune response. Any truth to that?
Keto is easy when you stop trying to make like a traditional American diet…keto bread, keto snacks, keto pasta, keto wraps…keto cakes artificial sweeteners and the like….you just end up eating too much processed crap…
Pork Belly over and over again will send your ApoB through the roof. Dangerous advice.
Beef butter bacon and 🧂 real salt 🧂
What about salad n veges can we eat any .
You are amazing Dr Boz! Thank you for simplifying it❤❤❤❤❤
Judy Garland look a like
Dr Boz looking like young Britney is testament to this being valid advice. I hope Brit also finds her channel 😊❤
Easy:
1. Bacon
2. Polish sausage or pulled pork
3. Kraut
4. Eggs
5. Brisket
Actually the first time I ate them they were so horrible I couldn't….. however, I kept trying by adding a bit of pink salt and a little flaked garlic. Now it's tolerable and I eat it ONLY if I am in the middle of a fast and just desperately need something, and it usually keeps me on track until the fast is over.
Food is a dopamine hit for me. I’ve been keto 6 weeks specifically for brain health. Trying to fix and nourish my brain!
Whatever happened to macadamia nuts?
Sardines and avocados are all I consume
Yes it works, but it's a double-edge sword. You can do the same five foods for a few weeks, maybe a few months – but for the rest of your life? There is no clock that will expire for weight gain.
Such good advice ❤ as usual!
love her advice, and she looks like Millie Bobby Brown, double celeb doctor now!
Easy yes!!! Boring??? Never!
On keto should I maintain calorie deficit. I'm confused
But I liiiiike foooood!
Eggs, burger patties, pork belly, chuck steak
Absolutely. Boring is best. Absolutely keeps cravings away.
BRISKET IS NOT BORING! After this it's smoked brisket 3 meals a day (with eggs at breakfast of course).
For me keto is not boring. Just use your imagination !
Help- I’ve been doing this for almost two months— eggs, sardines, coconut cream + chia seeds, hamburger. I’m not in ketosis. I was just told if your carb intake is too low, the protein you eat turns to glucose. Any ideas?
I've been pleasantly surprised that 25 minutes of mild work, i.e. shovel snow, or anything mildly requiring effort, a bit of heavy breathing, can get my glucose down fast. I'm 70, troublesome knees, walking is hard. But some regular work effort is ok. Must be my farmer's genes. Thanks Dad.
❤😊
For me sardines have done a find job at decoupling food from pleasure.
Dobry pomysł. Chwała Bogu nie muszę jeść sardynek 😅
I have mushroom coffee in the morning, and while I'm getting ready for work, prep my bento: two hard boiled eggs, 3 oz cheddar or colby jack cheese cut into cubes, one boneless skin-on chicken thigh cut into chunks, one medium rare petite sirloin cut into chunks. This goes in a bag with chopsticks. When I get to work, I fill up my water bottle, and finish the bento in about an hour while I'm working through my usual morning – my OMAD. That much food literally keeps me full all day. On weekends, I'll change it up: scallops wrapped in bacon, cheese and nitrate-free sausage charcuterie, catfish in pork rind "panko," cottage cheese, burgers with blue cheese, chicken and cheese soup (the only way I will eat a chicken breast), and of course sardines. But during the week, I keep it on autopilot.
❤
