Walking helped me lose 55 pounds and I didn’t have to spend half my day on a treadmill. Let’s break down the science-backed walking habits that actually make fat loss easier.
===================================================
Body Smart started in 2015 because we kept seeing the same story:
Women doing everything “right” – eating healthy, working out, trying to be consistent – but not seeing results. Feeling stuck, frustrated, and wondering what they were doing wrong.
The sad thing is that most of the time it’s not actually their fault.
These women hadn’t been given a way through their health challenges that actually made sense for them – programs that taught real habits and focused on sustainable changes… instead of forcing aggressive diets that were bound to fail.
Most of all, women weren’t seeing programs that understood where they are in life.
Not just in their own health & their age, but home lives that seemed to get MORE busy every year – with children, career changes, spouses, and growing life responsibilities.
Body Smart was created to fit into your life, with Coaching that revolves around what YOU truly need.
That’s why we focus on what matters most:
→ Helping you build habits that stick
→ Helping you work with your hormones, not against them
→ Helping you feel better in your body, without extremes
Our Body Smart Method works because we AVOID trendy fads & unsustainable routines.
That’s why over 7,000 women have seen results with us – and why we’re the highest-rated women’s health & weight loss company on Trustpilot, with 1,400+ five-star reviews.

So I used to drive for Amazon and I was working 5 to 6 days a week. As you all know, it's a very physical job. You would think that the daily exercise would cause us to drop weight like nobody's business. Nope. There was one particular guy there that started he was probably 250 pounds, with a huge gut. A year later, he's still 250 pounds with a huge gut. I watched co workers who started off skinny, actually gained weight. You cannot work off a bad diet. Period!
I’m consistently at or over 20K. I won’t go backwards. I’ve worked hard to get here.
I do 20k everyday
68 here 12 thousand steps 75 minutes of exercise 15 stand times daily. I eat a extremely clean diet no sugar no bread
Hello. Thank you for the content, but I would like to have the audio track in French because I am Algerian.
Best walking informational 🎉
I got foe about 2 miles a day after work because I know I can do that pretty easily.
Thank you that was really inspiring!
I walk 20k steps per day, 7 days a week.
What were you smacking? lol
Agree with your advice but walking steady brisk pace and going up and down a lot of hills 100 yards long is a far better workout ,,,I am 59 do 15,400 steps a day on asphalt most days some days just 6 miles 13,200 steps never take days off I do them all at once 4 am to 6 am this is extreme walking took 2 months to build up to 7 miles a day on week 18 lost 16 lbs of fat added 4 lbs muscle
As a former sports scientist and therapist I always wonder why suddenly everyone talks about walking-walking-walking for weight loss (which is great of course)… but nobody mentions cycling which reduces more calories in less time. I ask myself if this is an "infrastructural" thing because I noticed that most woman who suggest walking for weight loss are from the USA and in my experience there are much less ways/streets for cyclists than here in Europe.🤔 Or could there be other reasons why cycling is not an option?
I subscribed because your voice is calming
I do avg 23k a day . I do it 4 times week.no exhaustion.relaxed.
Wow, as an overweight person from Europe i can't believe that Americans have such a small number of steps. My kind of minimum is 7k a day and that is with walking to job with busses and in between the stations. Plus I go for and evening walk so for me 10k is not that hard at all. Plus I don't even use phone on the job but I guess there I have at least 1-2k going around every 1 h
I thought it was actually 7,000 where the benefits level off
Im a housemaid I do my work with the watch and I hit 16-20k steps daily
My brother lost a ton of weight during pandemic walking just 30 mins a day but he never missed a day. And he ate healthy.
Just do cardio though.
Ur muscle definition tells another story 😂
So true walking is the best worked for me too
I walk about 5-7 miles every day consistently for the last 4 years. Never lost a pound. My diet was all wrong, snacking the wrong foods all day. Changed that and the weight dropped off me.
I’m a bus driver on 11 hour shifts and do 10k steps a day as well as a calorie deficit & weight training 3-4 days a week. If you want it that bad you’ll make it work.
You are not really right
You are fantastic!
10,000 steps would take me 5 hrs! 😂 I can manage 2 miles a day, about 4000.
I just don't understand how this could work. Im 40lbs overweight and getting fatter by the second.
I walk legit… Not joking… 17k steps a day on average, my lowest will be 11k. … .. .my highest around 27k. I don't drive, I walk everywhere, my job as a clinical massage therapist is on my feet. I work out daily including calisthenics, HIIT, sprinting, yoga, Pilates, and strength training with either free weights or resistance bands 3-4x a wk. …. I don't stop moving. At all.
I hike every wknd (I live on an island in the west coast)
So…. Long story short…. Walking doesn't work for everyone.
I hate this flesh vessel I'm stuck in 😢
12,403 steps average a day 😏
I’m watching most of this video in the red light chamber at Restore Hyper Wellness
I walk about 17,000 steps a day
My watch is telling me I’ve done 4900 & it’s mid day.
I was able to walk 15000 steps every evening while I was on vacation ( not including walking around). Now that I’m at my sedentary job I’m struggling.
most days i walk around 20k to 22k sometimes even tho 10k is enough for me > half kg weekly fat loss is 10k steps > 20k is 1kg weekly
So pretty
Walking helps, but its not the magic pill people think it is. I've been on a diet for almost 3 months, walking near daily for 6 weeks. 1-5 miles, mostly 3-4. I have a walking app to track it (map my walk) and I've walked over 200 miles this year. I've lost weight but not a ton. I also lift weights and am on a calorie deficit. If I was only walking, the loss would be almost nonexistent.
On average you burn 100 calories a mile. 5 miles (10k) is 500 calories. You can eat that back so easily and the walk takes 1 hour and 40 mins to do.
If you're trying to lose weight, drink more coffee. 2-3 cups every morning. It really does suppress your apatite. I don't even get hungry until noon, 2pm. If I stay busy I can easily wait for dinner and still have 10-15lbs to go.
Will people please stop lying to everybody you can't look like that by just walking you have to do other exercises you have to work on your core you've got to do
You got to do crunches you got to do other things you just can't look that way by walking stop lying to everybody
Just be honest and tell everyone you did it with peptides
I'm just hitting 2 weeks of 10k for first time ever; hoping to lose 2 stone in a year so I'm a good weight at 40
The problem is Americans drive too much. Living in Asia I routinely walk 20000 steps a day just living.
8k steps a day is sedentary
My hack is walking during Teams meetings if it's a meeting I don't need camera on, and have no need to view anything being displayed. Did this today for 25 minutes. Also walk 10-15 minutes after eating lunch at work. No idea how avg steps is only 4000.
