😂I read comments and I see so many comments ABOUT people leaving negative comments. Are they bots? I have not seen any negative comment…
Same here, 45 days straight is solid. I'm at about half that and still fighting the urge to skip logging. The thing that finally made tracking stick for me was ditching the typing part, I kept quitting because logging took longer than the actual meal. Now I just say what I ate out loud into AI Calorie Tracker Counter and it handles the math. Way more likely to log everything that way.
Love your videos!
I am four months in, and in the last couple of weeks have started to struggle staying on track. The evening snacking habit has started sneaking back in, which means my daily caloric intake has gotten a bit higher and higher. Still trying to workout consistently but I need to add in a little more cardio, but again, haven’t implemented that yet because I seem to be lacking the drive. Would love to connect with anyone who needs to be motivation like I do, so we can help each other!
the "what i'd do differently" framing is honestly more useful than any before/after post because it skips the highlight reel and gets to the actual mechanics.
the thing that stood out to me most from your title is the idea of starting over with better information. i wasted probably 4 months second-guessing my dose and comparing myself to people who were titrating faster. started my GLP-1 through formblends and wish someone had told me earlier that slower titration usually means better long-term results, not that the medication isn't working. 70 lbs is incredible, genuinely.
Loved this video! I really appreciated the motivational quote about wellness. I also really appreciated the side by side photos of how the weight is similar, but the toned muscle changes the body composition so much. I always hear that, but it was helpful to actually see the comparison side by side. You are doing great! Thanks!
1:29 really hits for me, I’ve been overweight my whole life but haven’t really found a reason to be consistent with fitness, I’m starting testosterone as a trans man and have heart issues on the male side of my family so it really made me realize how serious it was that if I wanted to be who I was safely I need to also prioritize fitness 🙂 good luck guys I’m about 2 months in and going good!
1:20. Hallelujah! That's exactly it! To have success, you need at least ONE compelling reason to lose weight. I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. That was enough for me. I was 101kg, now I'm 75kg and aiming at 70.
.
Wonderful and inspiring. Trying again after a break due to life.
You have done amazingly well. Keep it up!
The point about people not noticing you lost weight – they might have. People are reluctant to comment on a woman's body. Of course, if they know you are trying to lose weight, they will, but if they don't, they are afraid to offend. Because saying you look like you've lost weight and it looks good can also have the double-edged sword of them sounding like they're judging you before. If people ever find themselves in that awkward position, I often find myself saying, " You look very healthy lately – or very fit" " It is usually a safe way to complement, as that's how guys do it ("Have you been working out?")and if the person wants to talk about being on a weight-loss journey, they will usually bring it up. On another note – sorry you had so many trolls. Social media turns people into morons. It's probably just a bunch of kids messing around. People's brains aren't fully formed until the mid-20s, when empathy kicks in, which is why we sometimes say stupid shit before we know better.
Another thought – thank you for reminding I have to track calories of what I'm eating. Fast Food is my vice, too. Tracking everything I eat will show stuff like butter and extra stuff I can skip.
Love that you started with some vocal mistakes. Shows the journey not having to be perfect. Thank you for these tips! I'll try to keep finding community (especially on my YouTube channel) and Rewards for COnsistency. Far too often, I'm my biggest critic. I think setting even small goals (one week of hitting daily goals) and then other milestones will help me stay focused and encouraged.
Thank you for sharing, Nikki! I’m just getting started on my journey to lose 100lbs and these were super helpful ❤
Congrats, I am down 165 lbs over 10 years but need to lose this last 30 lbs. Thanks for the encouragement.
Incredibly motivational for my journey, TYSM
I love WW. I lost 110lbs 9 years ago and have maintained within 10 lbs for the last 7+ years. The one thing that stuck with me was a phrase "comparison is the thief of joy". It's a normal thing to compare but honestly… DON'T. It is a personal path we all must take to improve our health and wellness.
Thank you so much! I just started and this was VERY informative ❤
Nikki, your videos are so helpful for me. I have been watching for years as I struggle with my own weight and I know you are helping a lot of people!
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. ❤❤❤
One of the main differences I noticed in your before and after pics is how much better your posture is now! Awesome nsv that I hope to emulate!
If you could visually see the people making the Rude comments, I Guarantee you would not feel as offended. Imagine who these randos are. Just imagine how they eat and live for them to be feeling so deeply shameful they have to say something unhinged and frankly stupid! I like to try and picture people behind the keyboard because someone secure and fit and stable would NOT be leaving those comments..Just remember that and dont let the lowest of society effect the Good Work you have done. Btw you inspired me to take before pics when I absolutely was NOT going to! You do make a positive difference 🩶
I just started watching your videos. Do you or did you ever go to workshops? Or just the app?
You are doing a great job taking care of yourself and are an inspiration to others on this journey! Ignore the haters, there are always plenty of them out there and they love to make others feel bad. You rock, Nikki! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for this.I'm starting my own weight loss journey, and this was a huge huge inspiration. Not to mention an awesome way to gauge the level of difficulty ❤
To the person who commented "we want to see you gain weight by doing mukbangs", I say "we want to see you exit the comments section. Buh-bye!" 😆 Don't let these weirdos get to you, they're not worth your energy or time. You're doing fantastic! 😁👍🏻
Thank you for sharing 💙
Wellness costs money. Illness gives you paid time off. Pick your poison
I knew someone who lost weight by mailing their eyes to YouTube Headquarters.
What a bunch of a**holes to say those mean things. I love your content. Im always watching you videos for ideas. Thank you for your help. You're a great person. Congratulations on losing weight and building muscle. Good health to you.🎉 Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your advice and what worked for you. I am currently on my weight loss journey since my last pregnancy my hypothyroidism got imbalanced
Thanks for this. I’m starting calorie counting again and I struggle with just eating low calorie everything, I end up choosing Fibre One bars and Skinny Whip bars which are full of crap but they fit my points and address the sweet craving. Want to change that this time.
Such a GREAT picture at 1:23 mark. 🎉
