2:07 I don’t eat cookies/ ice cream , do for special occasion. It’s like one cookie or a tiny amount of ice cream. I’ll bring the sugar. Then what?
0:47 no no way I do eat less calories and I drink water and that’s why I’m looking at the video and then I think I’m trying to find someone that’s gonna help me. I’ve been through the fast of that loss and other programs and it’s not true eating glass camera just can’t believe that because I was on MyFitnessPal and tracked everything and basically told me that I was eating an anorexic amount of calories
The only videos I can find on here are people that have menopause like OK I’m the only one that’s 52 years old that still has your period regularly. I feel like I am I guess cause I’m healthy but does that change things for my weight loss???
Loving boundaries is a wonderful mindset change ❤
Great intro, recognising the challenges but not allowing them to be the reason for failure. Brilliant that you seem to have a handle on behaviour being arguably the most important predictor in someone's weight loss success 🙌 Thank you for sharing.
I used to think I just didn't have enough discipline. I'd lose some weight, gain it back, and start over every Monday. Then I realized I didn't fail diets… diets failed me. If a diet feels like a diet, it's probably the wrong diet for you. After reading The Comfort Food Anti-Diet by Dr. V, I stopped trying to be perfect and started building habits that actually fit my life. I lost 48 pounds without giving up my favorite foods. One idea from the book really stuck with me: your diet should fit your lifestyle, not the other way around.
I’m waiting to hear the secret to losing weight. Is it eat less, move more and intermittent fasting? Too much fluff content.
This is the first of your videos that I’ve ever seen, and let me just say that it is so refreshing to hear somebody so grounded and down to earth talk about weight loss. Just the way you present information. Intuitively tells me that you’re the real deal. You have done the work, you’ve had ups and downs, and you are speaking your truth and these are the things that make a great speaker to me. And doctor I think I saw MD somewhere in your title. I am a 48-year-old woman who has never weighed this much in her life and I cannot gain any more weight. I’m like 180 pounds and it’s just awful to feel the way that I feel so I am going to start a journey with watching your videos and hopefully I can find some little successes! Thank you for sharing your story.
You lost me at egg whites…
nothing new here
Omg me too ..started at 10 yrs old 😢
You mention talking about fasting in another video (at 11:51) – can you please link to that? Thanks in advance;-)
"eat less move more" is based on young men in studies. I can (and have) eaten a prolonged diet of ~1000 calories a day while being very active on my farm and, Guess what!?…. no weight loss. I get so sick of "experts" like this one espousing this trite and incomplete cliche'.
So important and brutally real. After 50, nothing is as simple as “eat less, move more” — hormones, metabolism, muscle loss, and gut issues all change the game.
Many women I work with go years feeling like they’re doing everything right… and still stuck.
It’s frustrating when doctors say “just more cardio” when we need targeted strategies that respect aging bodies.
💛 Love that this is being talked about—now let’s dig into what actually works beyond the mindset and calorie myths.
At 61 and struggling to lose 30ish pounds of menopausal weight gain, I’m tired of constantly thinking of food and what I need to do. It takes up so much of my day and energy!😢
This is a really great reality check. Thank you!
See Dr Michael Grerer's info about calories then double check his information sources (scientific studies etc).blows this tired old rhetoric out of the water😊
I agree with most of what you’re saying, but, it is important to make sure you are getting enough protein! And the diet medication!
Is it possible to loose weight in menopause?? Is it really hard and big struggle
Excellent
Thank you
Right now, "good enough" for my standard would be skipping my nightly pint of ice cream. I'd be happy with that.
I love the idea of "loving boundaries." It's really helpful to me to think of it that way. Thanks, Jenn!
Great video. Thank you so much for your insight!
What an excellent video !!
Great video!!!! Thanks for all your help!!!
Thank you for sharing the truth! Even the ones I wish were different. It’s a relief that i can impact my behavior and environment to make more progress.
