  1. I’ve had little bouts with gout for 10-15 years now and I kept thinking it was diet related….. why would I only get it randomly every few months when I keep eating all the same foods?? I recently have figured out that dehydration was the culprit for me. Only then, would a Coke or a platter of boiled seafood bother me.

  2. I gotta say, Doc, this is by far the best presentation on gout I've seen yet. Happy to see you didn't trash animal foods. Which you said are OK if paired with low glycemic vegetables and lots of water and no…..or severely curtailed alcohol. I also like eggs, which is the perfect breakfast so far as I'm concerned. I'm heartened that I just don't drink soft drinks…….Period. Haven't for years. And no sweet tooth. Just cut out the crap and for Gods sake, LOSE WEIGHT (my issue).

  3. ** My mistake ** – I had Gout like Symptoms in my fingers. Uric acid levels ok.. Cause massive infection level in my blood test. I have an infection in my leg. So I started APO-Amoxy/clav today which is a stronger anti-biotic. Symptoms in fingers are improving.

  4. Something I found helps me with gout is drinking more water. Think about it. If your body has a build up of uric acid and the way your body removes it is through urine. So increase the frequency of urination, your body won't be able to accumulate uric acid. It might not work for everyone though. Also I found Aleve reduces the length of time of flare ups. I'm not a doctor but this is what worked for me.

  5. Just one thing. Most of us. In the Industrial Medical Complex, are assigned a Primary Care Physician. IMO. Because I’ve witnessed this personally and have many piers to attest to this. Since the Affordable Care Act. Which is nothing more than a money grab Corporate mentality. Diagnosis is not actually given. But more of a symptomatic treatment. Overwhelmed administratively has become severely incompetent. So I do not believe proper diagnosis and treatment is its main goal. There also is Class Warfare. The poor get the least. It’s been proven. So also IMO. An educated Holistic approach by one’s self is becoming a more reliable and effective method of treatment.

  6. Salmon is high uric acid. I think you should also have mentioned vinegar for sure! Each channel just keeps mentioning the same foods over and over. Tomatoe puree is also high acid. Please do more research.

  7. I got diagnosed with gout in my knee. Went from fine one day and the next morning I was 10 out 10 pain. Could barely put any pressure on it. It was confirmed by blood tests.

The kicker? I quit alcohol 135 days ago… dropped nearly 45 lbs and am at a healthy weight now, cut out all processed foods and simple sugars, eat a Mediterranean style diet, exercise regularly and I STILL got it.

What a punch in the gut!

This video did give me some good advice so I will be trying that.

    Thanks for the deep dive!

  8. The no 1 biomarker for how well you will age is natural hormone production. When hormones decline health and wellness declines. Sarcopenia arrives loss of bone density and reduced activity levels along with cognitive decline poor moods and increased stress. This is why all biohackers are on TRT to attempt to compensate for this deficit. I went from 334 to 960 in around three months all natural no TRT. This book should be essential reading for all men. 9. I want to Emphasize that caffeine, theobromine, theophylline ARE Purines. The latter two found in tea and other dtimulants are caffeine breakdown products. So. Coffeee is NOT good as it adds to uric acid in system. This is the sine qua non of gout.

  10. Doc, at 14:03 and 14:07 of this video, you literally admit that anything raising insulin increases gout attacks. So why tell people to eat fruits and vegetables, which raise insulin too?
The only foods that don’t spike insulin are meat and fat — especially ruminant meat and eggs.
That’s why gout disappears on carnivore: it fixes the metabolic issue, not just decrease the symptoms.

  11. Gout doesn’t come from eating meat — it comes from insulin resistance. When you eat carbs and sugar, insulin spikes and blocks your kidneys from flushing out uric acid. That’s what causes it to build up and form crystals. When you cut the carbs and sugar, insulin drops, your kidneys start working normally again, and the gout disappears.

Veggies are still carbs, and fruits are still sugar — your body doesn’t care that they’re “natural.” They still raise insulin and keep uric acid trapped. Fiber isn’t some magical nutrient either; humans don’t need it to stay regular when they’re eating real food with natural fat.

The “eat more vegetables and low-sugar fruits” advice just keeps people sick and inflamed. Gout improves when you stop spiking insulin, not when you eat more plants. Meat and fat stabilize everything — insulin, uric acid, and inflammation — which is why people on carnivore stop getting gout attacks altogether.

  12. Body can't handle the amount of fluid. However, I'm dehydrated how can I have this problem? If you can't diagnose it properly, you need to go back to school kid. If if I drink more water I'll be even more dehydrated. So how can you say that it needs to be water pills when the hands are showing that they're dehydrated and it's gout. The crystals are in the knees
