  1. If it is visceral fat, this person is obese. He/she is trying to lose overall fat, not just belly fat. All of this is moot if you are trying to lose the last bit of subcutaneous belly fat.

  2. Is berberine good for the insulin part? I exercise and do strength training almost every day, I watch my food and don’t eat carbs or sweets except for dates or natural honey or fruit like berries!! I heard a lot about berberine and I’m starting to think of it seriously, please advise 🙏🏽

  3. Love that this is being talked about — but for so many women in their 40s, belly fat isn’t just about diet tweaks or cutting calories. I’ve worked with countless women who eat clean, work out, and still gain weight — and it’s usually because their gut is inflamed, their blood sugar is spiking from “healthy” foods, and their hormones are stuck in survival mode.

Fat loss in midlife starts when we stop trying to shrink ourselves and start supporting the body from the inside out. That’s when everything begins to shift 💛

  4. I am going to make this short as possible lol. I always been in shape. I am 5'4 and my healthy weight is 145-150. In my mid 20s I would gain like 10 to 15 lbs and lose it easily and kept it off. I had my daughter at 28 and I did notice a regular low-carb diet that I use to do before kids would always help me lose the weight and exercise. Only way I lost the baby weight was doing keto and I had success it melted 25 lbs off in 3 months and I got off the diet and I didn't gain it back. Then I had my son at age 30 and I gained the same exact weight like I did with my daughter and I am 35 now. I tried low-carb diet, keto like 2 or 3 times the same exact way I did it with my daughter and the scale did not move. I even tried fasting OMAD, 20:4 and nothing. I am still fasting but thats because I genuinely love it. I am not a breakfast person. I been fasting for 4 years now and now I feel like I can skip lunch now, but the weight is still there. I cannot for the life of me loose the baby weight and I am that person that holds a lot of fat in my stomach area the most. You gave me a lot to think about and a whole new motivation. After doing everything to the T, I will give the diabetic diet a shot. 2 weeks ago I had my glucose checked and thank God I don't have diabetes, but I saw the scale on my results and I did notice I still need to bring the glucose down because its getting too close to passing that line and yet I am on time to make changes. Thank you for this huge motivation and reality check. God bless ❤

  5. Ozempic unfortunately caused me to get gastroparesis or stomach paralysis, so I quickly and abruptly stopped it after 2 weeks. Rybelsus caused gas and diarrhea and Metformin caused stomach pain and gas. I have to use functional medicine to lower my A1c and lose belly fat. And so far, I'm doing better with no medications.

  6. Wow! I'm so glad your video popped up! Thank you so much for this information. I'm very conscious about my health and weight especially as I'm 63. You have a gift for delivering medical and scientific information. Makes it easy for us to understand. Subscribed! ❤

  7. I have been trying to lose weight for so long I am beginning to believe that I will never get to something comfortable. But you are much younger than me and I have already gone into menopause as well and that is a factor. I am with the VA (military) and they won't prescribe the GLP-1 type items because I am not Diabetic – its otherwise on a hold for the moment. And its too expensive out of pocket. They ended up prescribing me a pill called Contrave but I have my concerns about it – as with any medication. I got it on Friday but I still haven't taken it. I have already spoken with a nutritionist but she didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. I needed something specific to me – not general advice. And I already eat like I have diabetes – regardless of the fact that my blood sugars and A1C's have never been elevated. My problem is that I love raw onions for texture mostly, I love tomatoes, I love bell peppers, but I don't like eggplant and I use milk to take my medication. Also, I like yogurt and don't like all veggies.

I wish I could use My Fitness Pay but I always fail using an app like that and/or just counting calories in general. Its too subconsciously distracting. The problem with how many steps you take depends on the effort those steps are being logged. I work at home and have a desk job – which is very demanding. I used to walk my dog in the morning but its just too cold.

I see where people say that calories out and in is a thing…but that's not as simple either. Not all calories are used by the body in the same way. 100 calories of broccoli process much differently than 100 calories of cotton candy. You have to eat foods that your body can use. Also, if you eat simple carbs, they have to be used within about 30 minutes or it goes into storage basically. This is why low carb is a better option because the body doesn't have any source of its preferred fuel source if you don't eat it.

Watch a documentary you can find here on YouTube called "The Magic Pill." I still have to find my niche. Maybe some of the things you've talked about will work.

  8. Yeah she is FULL OF IT! YOU NEED FAT FOR YOUR HORMONES! It's NOT her fault she is INDOCTRINATED! TRUST ME I have proven MANY MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WRONG because they only went to school got programed to BELIEVE what BIG PHARMA WANTED them to know MEMORIZED @ least 60% of it and they gave her a DA I AGREE! That is ALL a Degree is that she AGREE'D Not that she used her own brain!

  9. Could you please comment on which ethnicities are more sensitive to saturated fat? I am African-American and tried carnivore with high fat. I got really fat! Even after cutting out carbs almost completely. Thank you.

  10. Wow that was lots of scientific information.. I am 51 always been skinny, always ate pretty well I have belly fat caused by menopause. I also think it’s pretty normal.. I find to be informed on menopause is really important to know what’s going on with our bodies after 40. Definitely add weight training and walking with a weighted vest at least 10 000 steps a day. Loads of fibers and more protein less sugar and saturated fats but that’s at all ages. I strongly suggest reading The new menopause to understand in simple words what’s going on.

  11. Say " No Thank you " to the Glp-1 injections. It will make keeping muscle on and fat off soooooooo much more difficult..add in GASTROINTESTINAL distress. Resist the hype. Your body will thank you.❤
