What I’d Do If I Had To Lose 40 Pounds of Body Fat

About this video:
When it comes to weight loss, I normally recommend losing weight at a sustainable rate of 1 pound to 1.5 pounds per week. But that’s not always the best approach and there are ways you can lose weight fast, especially your first 20 pounds. I made this video for those who are looking to lose their first 20 pounds of body fat as quickly as possible. I’ve used this strategy multiple times on your fitness journey and I can tell you from first hand experience that this works extremely well. It’s not easy, but it will get you results. So if you’re in a situation where you want to see a rapid change or kickstart your weight loss journey on the right track, give this a try.

  1. I don't think this is very realistic. I've been dieting and increasing exercise for almost 6 months now. I've been comfortably losing ~2lbs of body fat a month. For context I started at 25% body fat (male). This has been relatively easy and sustainable for a person who works full time and has an average life. Promoting that you can lose 2lbs a week is likely harmful and demotivating.

  2. Trash video. You literally cannot lose 20 pounds in one month without completely fasting. 1 pound of fat is 3500 calories, and most guys break even is around 2700 or something. So you can only lose 0.7 pounds of fat per day at most if you eat nothing.

  3. I've cut carbs almost entirely , and went on a chicken/meat/eggs+ veggies+healthy fats for nearly 4 weeks now, and I've already reduced 2 inches of waist, training only 3X per week and going on daily walks. Not gonna lie, I miss bread and pasta sometimes , but I was on the brink of a high blood pressure diagnosis at age 49. Great video, dear sir.

  4. I lost 27 pounds in a month by doing one meal a day eating

Steak/ ground beef/ chicken with mixed veggies or steamed broccoli

    Weight lifting for 45 minutes

    Walking for 1 hour

    Resting once every 5th day

Diet working out and consistency are the keys

  5. This plan is pure deception because it falsely equates a drop in scale weight with actual fat loss. Burning 20 pounds of pure body fat in just one month would require a biologically impossible deficit of 63,000 calories, which fundamentally contradicts the laws of thermodynamics and human metabolism. In reality, these rapid initial results are almost entirely driven by the loss of water and digestive volume, meaning the video's sensationalized title does nothing but fuel dangerous and unrealistic expectations.

  6. November 29, 2025 I weighed 230 pounds. As of April 17, 2026 I weigh 204. My waistline went from 49 ½ to 46 thus far. Age 63. I quit drinking the 2 to 3 Coca~ Colas a day. I gave up the daily consumption of a dozen + cookies, the big bowl of ice cream at night, candy, donuts, cakes, fast food joints and probably the worst, eating 88% of the big bag of Doritos (or potato chips) each night while watching TV…

I started Fasting 18-22 hours in February. No food after 7pm. Eating begins between 12 noon and 2pm, depending if I’m home or not. Usually I start off with a frozen banana smoothie with straw & blue berries and a cup of the OIKOS 20g yogurt. And there are days I just wait till dinner time to eat which can be between 5 to 6:30pm. I don’t have that food craving to be constantly eating anymore. I also drink a lot of ice water throughout the day.

My normal dinner consumption is salmon, chicken breast /thighs, a salad, Vegetable or Chicken soup, Veggie stir-fry. Once a month I make Chicken & Shrimp Jambalaya, but not with processed sausage anymore. 2 times a month I make (RAOS) spaghetti with a homemade meat sauce that I make fresh.

Sometimes I will make a filet mignon if I find it on sale. I also bought three, 3 pound Butterball Turkey breasts to eat in 2025 about three months apart……….I also eat baked, mashed or boiled potatoes, sweet potato, corn, broccoli, carrots, celery, onions, red-green-yellow-orange bell peppers, beets, peas, green beans, apples, watermelon… I don’t eat eggs ….I throw eggs…I hope to get under 200. I do a little bike riding and a little walking. Come summer time some swimming will be done but I do no gym equipment type of exercise or weight lifting.

In January 2005, my weight was 175. I’m not sure if I can drop back down to that weight, we’ll just have to ‘weight ‘ and see.😆
