WHAT I EAT IN A WEEK – To Maintain My Weight Loss

Hi everyone,

I have had a lot of requests regarding documenting what I eat every day.
You can read from the title that this is what I eat to maintain my weight loss. NOT what I eat to lose weight. I want to specify because I know that my caloric intake will shock some. We are all different. We have different metabolism, different genetic makeup, different needs, different lifestyles. I want to be very clear that I am not promoting any nutritional plan, I am not qualified to do so. All I am doing is documenting what I eat and sharing with you why I eat this way. That’s it. I am also eating this way with a green light from my physician. This is solely based on what I need to do in order to not gain weight, so I will keep it on the I and thankfully all we understand that I am not providing any kind of medical advice in this video.
Please be respectful and abstain from toxic behavior. Thank you.

  1. I know this is one of your older videos but I'm just poking around and finding interesting topics and I'm enjoying your content a lot. I just have to say that you are very motivated and disciplined. I'm amazed and impressed at the way you plan your meals and document what you're eating and it was very brave of you to put that out there. It's so sad that we live in a time when there are so many mean people that feel like everybody deserves to know what they're thinking, but sadly it is what it is. Good on you for putting that out there!

Merci ☺️

  3. The big green eye monster , control so many people, they must bring down the person who intimidates them. Yes mean is a good word …if they don't like what is going on….don't watch….because they come back and demean you…..it's because the secretly like what your showing. Please continue what your doing. Many support and enjoy all your share. GBY.

  4. This video is one I should have seen years ago. I watch youtube on and off but have been following you since your green planner days.

I have/had Hashimoto’s but thyroid is gone due to cancer of my thyroid. I also hae IBS and am 45 pounds overweight. I am going to write down my meals like this. I think it is much better than using an app or to use it alongside the app. This has been very helpful and I think at 69, it is never too late.

I have insulin resistance and gluten and sugar free will surely make me feel better and lose weight.

My endo said a calorie deficit is the only way to go.

  5. I copied your meals because they look great! You look fantastic. Sorry people can’t seem to help themselves with their un asked for opinions. I don’t know how I missed this video, I watch them all, I learn a lot on your diy projects.

  6. What you are saying makes so much sense regarding the calorie intake/outake. I am there now as I am 5’ and I have a desk job. of course 1500 calories is too much for me. Just like my husband who is 6’2 and very active need more then 2000.

  7. Thank you for sharing and for putting your journey out there. I am curious and did not read if anyone asked but do you jot down daily what you eat? I am curious about some of the behaviors you have changed and routines you adopted. Congrats on your journey and you look fabulous! I have been struggling for years and would love some of the tips and tricks. Thank you, and again, congrats! Trudy

  8. Thank you for sharing. Do you ever feel hungry? If you do, how do you handle that? My biggest issue is feeling hungry at night and I'd appreciate any help on dealing with that. I need to work on my health so I'm appreciative of this video.

  9. This video was so helpful. Thank you for sharing. I never know what to eat on a diet & these are good ideas for me. Do you regularly share what you eat in the Patreon group? I would love to see more meals. I can tell you feel so good & your skin is glowing. Very happy for your health journey. 😊

  10. Thank you for sharing. I come from a family that focuses a lot on appearance. Growing up in this environment, it took awhile to realize their shaming comments were inappropriate. Still I find myself biting my tongue, at times, to not carry this on with my own daughter. What worked for me regarding weight loss has been intermittent fasting and I have stopped alcohol and also reduced gluten and sugar. What I believe is that people's physiology varies and so does the best diet for each.

  11. I cannot go above that either for calories. I also have Hashimoto and since 2019 I was indulging in a lot more calories and gained 75 lbs. I’m starting my AIP journey, started thyroid meds and will lower my calories again. I’m hoping to get back my health. Thank you for sharing you are my encouragement. ❤❤❤ thankful for you.

  13. Wow Sophia, you look amazing, I have not been around for a while and am so impressed and happy for you! thank you so much for sharing and I am sosorry about the nasty comments. much Love, Barbara ❤

  14. Do you have to count calories every day when you are maintaining? Or is that more because you are still losing? Im trying to get the hang of figuring calories without going into binging which has been an issue in the past for me.

  15. Maybe the toxic comments come from the toxic food consumption. I'm sorry you have had to deal with that and glad you have found something that has worked well for you.

  16. Sophia, thank you for putting in the work to share this. You have done an incredible job in taking care of your health. I am so happy for you. I have arthritis and psoriasis. I should do something like this as well. Love to you and yours.

  17. Thank You for sharing your meals and especially some of the specifics of the autoimmune struggles you have been going through. I can relate. Do you make separate meals for your family or do they eat similarly?

  18. Sophia, I just want to start off saying how much i appreciate your content. I'm not a regular follower but when I feel the urge to declutter I put on one of your playlists and do it along side of you.

I also recommend them often because your talking thru the process is so helpful for working thru the guilt of why we hold onto stuff.

I just revisited one of your older playlists from 2018 when you were decluttering your closet and were getting rid of all your size 10 pants that no longer fit. I hope you bought yourself new clothes in your new size and feel great about it despite the health concerns that accompany the weight loss.

I knew you had lost weight because I also follow your Facebook content. Curiosity got the best of me, and a hope that you were healthy… So now I'm here. I'm sorry to hear that the reason is due to autoimmune issues. I know several people who also deal with autoimmune and other disorders that require major dietary restrictions.

You're not alone in dealing with this. It takes incredible courage to share your story, but doing so really helps others who are experiencing similar situations not feel so alone.

All of this to say, despite the negative comments you receive when you mention this stuff, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thankyou.

You are fabulous inside and out, and I'm wishing you an abundance of joy, love, and fulfillment in all that you do.

You are valued, appreciated, and cherished by many. 💜

  19. Sophia, I admire you for setting this goal for yourself and maintaining. I deal with high/low blood sugar so I have to do my tracking and proper eating to keep my labs is good ranges! It is very encouraging to hear and see what you eat!❤

  20. Thank you for doing this video for also us here in YouTube! 😊 I’ve been busy so just now had the time to watch this. So glad the commenting was still on, so you weren’t forced to turn it off 😅 (I hope this hasn’t required too much deleting nasty comments.)
It’s nice to have new ideas for meals and about the portion sizes. Granted, I gasped for the amount of calories BUT just because it would not be right for me personally. I’m 181 cm tall and still waaaay over 100 kg and also about 10 years younger so combining these I think my need for calories for basic stuff is probably some bit higher than yours. So I can’t straight up copy your diet – but that’s no reason to write something mean! (And I also understand copying your diet was NOT the point of this video). I look at the video and try to find the ideas I could apply for my own eating, adjusting them to my own situation if needed.
I hope you continue to do these kind of videos here every now and then, but I do also understand if it takes too much of a toll 😔

  21. Sophia, I have to take biologic injections every 6 weeks for Psoriatic Arthritis, because I had extremely bad plaques all over my body. It has drastically cleared up my skin. I had Covid before I broke out, and my daughter in law, 49 , passed away from a rare blood disease. These things caused the skin problems. I’ve changed my diet by limiting bread and sugar. I didn’t have much guidance about my diet, so I’m thankful that you showed us your diet. You look very nice, and I know you must feel really good. Thank you!Annetta

  22. I am so happy that you have found something that works for you. And so sorry to hear how mean people have been about your journey. One question are you able to eat red meat on your diet?

  23. I watched your first video and thought..mmm maybe I should try this for my degenerate arthritis and then you said no sugar and I was like heck no, I can’t live without my Dr. Pepper. Lol Now I’m thinking maybe I should try.. I never thought that deeply about the guidelines and how old they are and you totally made my brain explode.

  24. Because of your original video giving your health problems I too purchased the books. I’m grateful for the knowledge gained because of you. Stand proud Sophia. Happy holidays.

  25. It seems people want to evangelize their way of eating. Like spirituality, it's an extremely personal thing. We're all different individuals with various needs for our body.
If you found what works for your body that's fantastic. I hadn't seen your videos in my feed for forever and noticed the drastic weight loss. Mazel tov!
I think I've finally found what works for my body. My medical providers weren't concerned by the extremely restrictive diet when I told them. One even said she might try it. My sister thinks I'm insane.
I am FULL of inflammation 🔥 so needed to take drastic measures.
Since following it strictly the last couple months, I am amazed by the non-scale wins.
My energy has increased so much I don't recognize myself.
A couple years ago, I was diagnosed morbidly obese and prediabetic. That threw me into a tailspin. I ate lots of pasta, was sedentary and by early spring this year moved so slowly and had no strength. My knees were so painful I couldn't stand very long.
I've done intermittent fasting (IF) for about ten years. Also called time-restricted eating. One or two meals a day suits me and budget. Sometimes I go a day or two without eating anything. It helps with lowering my blood sugar and autophogy (cell cleanup and skin tightening). I've done keto with some success, but results weren't fast enoufh so I strayed.
I saw the doctor last month and she said I'd lost 25 lbs. since my last visit (2 years before). I suspect I lost way more because of my former carb addiction that wasn't documented.
In addition to the increased energy, I am sleeping better, my knees are improving, I can breathe easier, I think my snoring has been resolved, but I can't be certain 😜. My teeth stay clean. My skin is clearing up (I'm 67 years old with acne).
Here's the most incredible change: I'm interested in keeping my house clean 😱 Who AM I?
I decorated for Christmas and I'm a bah-humbug gal having worked in retail marketing my entire career. WHAT?!
I haven't added exercise yet, but Dr. Sean O'Mara recommends short sprints (3 minutes to start) and I might do something like that this winter hanging onto a kitchen barstool — the world isn't ready to see this body sprint. 😝
Congratulations on finding what works for you. You look incredible. Go Sophia!

  26. Whatever anyone might say about your diet, results don't lie and you look absolutely smashing! I have been noticing over the past few months that you have been losing weight and I'm delighted that you took the time and effort to explain your diet to us. Keep up the good work!

  27. Its very helpful to see what others my age eat because Ive completely lost all sense of what "normal" meal sizes should look like.
Thank you, so much for the effort you put into this video.♥️🇨🇦

  28. Not only content creators are subjected to judgements and unsolicited advice regular people are too. You know this being a therapist that not everyone is going to like you or approve your lifestyle. “If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive” -Brene Brown. Be you.
