Why is it so important to boost or increase your metabolism? Simply put it, the higher your metabolic rate is, the more calories you burn, hence the easier it is to lose weight and keep it off!

Someone with a sluggish slower metabolism will gain more fat from eating less food in comparison to a person with a fast, healthy metabolism. So what affects your metabolism? Genetics, age, weight, diet, exercise habits as well as lifestyle.

There are certain areas which we can’t control such as our genes and also age. Saying that however, there are also areas which we can control; our weight, diet, exercise routine and lifestyle. These are the areas we should take control of, and it can speed up our metabolism. Watch this video through as I share with you 8 effective ways to boost your metabolism, burn fat and lose weight.

1) Pump It Up
2) Swap Steady Paced Cardio for HIIT
3) Don’t Starve Yourself
4) Power Up with Protein
5) Sip on Black Coffee

  1. trying to recover from my ED, thank you for these tips on better healthy habits and knowledge, im excited to try these. been working out and eating bite size a day but always gain it back when i eat normal for like two days. i want my body to function normally instead of being in survival mode!

  2. I’ve always fluctuated in weight and eating too little is never good as that makes you more lethargic and your body clings onto the extra fat to sustain itself Moderation is always key thank you Joanna you’re really inspiring ☺️

  3. For anyone dealing with intestinal worms or frequent stomach infections, Planet Ayurveda Agnitundi Vati is an excellent supportive supplement. It feels like it cleanses the digestive tract while boosting your internal strength. I’ve felt much "cleaner" internally since starting my course. Planet Ayurveda is a brand I have recommended to all my friends who are into holistic living.

  4. I saw lots of your videos and I'm actually amazed bye the informations that you have and the simple way your explaining them thank you so much for make it easier for us 🤍

  5. Thank you for the video, very informative especially 03:57. When i was a kid i could eat anything and stay lean but by 3rd grade it started slowing way down. now as an adult i finally feel like i got it back. cleaned up my food, started walking more, and sleep made a HUGE difference 😛 i stopped blaming the workouts once i saw what my hormone panel looked like. tested with vital test hub

  6. I burnt so many calories. It makes me cry. I burn calories just watching this video. Help, I just felt a few pounds of weight burn off me in the last three minutes.

    🙄🙄🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

  7. Lift weights.
    Do hiit training.
Don’t starve yourself, consider a caloric deficit but EAT ENOUGH.
    Avoid extreme diets.
    Eat protein.
Avoid carbohydrates because they make your blood sugar go up and then crash.
Sip on black coffee, a cup before exercise.
Move more, don’t sit at a desk all day.
    Stay hydrated.
    Get enough sleep.

  8. Wow, watching how the puddles of sweat just dried up within 48 hours was so satisfying, I used what I read about the other day. Although it actually took about 72 hours for my sweating to normalize, I went ahead and go'ogled Cynthia Yulesin’s Stop Sweating Today and I don’t have to change clothes 2 times a day.

  9. I have been anorexic and severely restricting my calories for 28 years. I eat 1,100 calories a day atm. I am starting strength training, working with a trainer, a dietician and my GP to help me stay on track and boost my metabolism. I also have a naturally slim build, and I wish I had never become anorexic. I've never been much of a water drinker, but am increasing it now. I also drink gteen tea which is good for the metabolism. I am increasing my calories slowly so I don’t gain body fat. I thibk that covers it. Do I have a chance at boosting up my metabolism?

  10. Hi joanna!thanks for your videos
I just wanted to ask you to post more videos about gaining weigh and problems that people have with fast metabolism.
I am having a very confising and problematic path

  11. I lost weight and I wondered why. I am 56 years old, I eat a whole bunch of vegetables everyday, and some meat and I eat everyday rice, I drink several times a day tea and coffee. I looked for a video about metabolism because I wondered why I lost some pounds and I found your video. I was not really overweight, but now I have a perfect weight. I also hardly use sugar.

  12. I recently lost 20 pounds(currently 115 pounds) and I just realized my metabolism is slow asf. Rn as someone who is moderately active, I can only eat 1800 calories. Once I become sedentary (start working a less active job) I'll only be able to eat 1600 calories.

I hate it. I spoke to a personal trainer and he said I would have to gain muscle mass in order to boost my metabolic rate.

    1) gaining muscle is hard
    2) I have scoliosis so I can't lift that heavy anyway. I definitely challenge myself, but being that scoliosis makes it easier to develop injuries, I have to be very careful
