  1. My sister was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease in her 30s. She began walking every day in her 40s. Shes 61 now and she has not developed Huntington’s Chorea. No involuntary movements nor mental degeneration. Walking has saved her life. My mother and grandmother died from the symptoms.

  2. See how good and kind God is, He literally made easy and natural to lose weight and be healthy, he provided healthy and good food and made walking the best way of staying healthy and also losing weight. Glory be to God ❤

  3. I just found your video. I walk 2.5 miles each morning before the sun comes up. I work in a warehouse during sunlight hours so I don’t get the direct sunlight. However I do get upwards of 13000 steps per day and have lost 30 pounds since April.

  4. Any physical activity is good. But to say walking is the key is a bit of a stretch. Zone 2 jogging but not walking. I see fat people walk all the time but rarely if ever see a fat jogger/runner.

  5. I average over 10,000 steps a day in New York City and love it. New Yorkers live longer with a 83.2 average lifespan vs 78.4 National average and walking may be a big part of that difference

  6. Former red beret here with back issues. No more rucking. I have both a treadmill and Treadclimber though. Treadclimbers are the best cardio machines 💜.

  7. Backpacking for 5 to 15 miles per day, for 2-3 days, in the woods, on trail terrain has become my favorite form of walking with weight on for the last 4 years. I've lost 20+ pounds, solved my cholesterol issues, reduced my blood sugar levels, eliminated my plantar and back issues and dramatically improved my balance and mood. So, as I tell all my friends now – Go Take A Hike!

  8. I walked 1 hour non stop a day for 14 consecutive days and lost 12 pounds….Thanks to the book I read many years ago called NATURAL CURES THEY DONT WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT.

  9. You can find old silent film footage here on YT that's quite revealing. There's one showing a busy street in New York City taken in 1911, a constant stream of people – and no one is fat! Old film footage from the UK shows the same thing: no fat people! Everyone walked; they weren't trying to lose weight or burn fat, and they likely ate a high fat diet without "counting calories".

Even film footage up through the 1970's shows mostly thin people. Forty years later, you seen mostly obese people everywhere; look around next time you go to the supermarket; thin people have become a minority; it's shocking.

  10. 20 minute walk before dinner and you use stored fat energy, after dinner , you use the easy energy which just has been consumed and absorbed into your bloodstream ( glucose ). It’s your choice…. 💁🏻‍♀️

  11. As à housekeeper work 4 days a week for 11 hours a day at the end of my day with is 7.30 pm (time I open the door of my house )
    I do 22 thousand steps a day at age 62 .

  12. When I was young I was a glutton for training. I overtrained. I suspect I damaged my heart . I have had 2 ablations for afib.

About 2 months ago I started something new. Intermittent fasting, 7 or 8 hours to eat. Less carbs. Substitute rice for quinoa, mix oatmeal with beans, more protein, no snacks, limit alcohol, limit desserts.

I started walk in the morning fasting , at a easy pace. I have started do Norwegian Intervals on my stationary trainer. Light weights. I bought a Garmin watch. My walks are around 6 to 7000 steps. I have 2.5 acres to care fore. I found I was walking another 7 to 8000 steps just working in the yard.

I have sleep apnea . I started paying more attention to my sleep. Darker room,a fan to keep cool , tracking my sleep time and quality. In the morning after my prayer. I take my blood pressure. After my walk and a BM my weight. The watch has a body battery. After 2 beers I noticed , I did not sleep as well,I woke up more, I was sweating from the alcohol, the body battery only registered 82 . On a good night it gets to a 100. I get morning sun to rest my clock.

I stopped killing my Nitrate oxide production. No more antiseptic mouth wash. No tooth paste, baking soda does no destroy to good bacteria in the mouth that produce Nitrate Oxide. I now eat more spinach, kale, broccoli and vegetables high in nitrates Stop mouth breathing. This stops NO production.

Trust in GOD . Do what you can then let it go. Use the Serenity Prayer as a guide. This will drop your stress level. GOD is the first prep, we will not make it w/ o him.

The results. At age almost 68. In 2 months , I lost 18 pounds of fat. My viceral fat went from 4% to 2%. My subcutaneous fat went from about 13% to 9.7%. Muscle mass has increased a little, no loss at my age is a win. My blood pressure dropped from 130/90 to 100-120/ 60-80. Resting HR when rested 49-52. I have a more positive attitude letting go and trusting IN GOD. My sleep is much better.

I know this seems like a lot, but you can do it. I wrote this absurdly long post because I want to encourage you. The advice is not bull it.

This is love for all of my brothers and sisters in Christ. For all of the others, you are GOD'S creation and my neighbor. The command is to love my neighbor as myself. Every day I pray to be a fisherman of men . I hope to catch you one day.

PS Buy yourself a Oxiline MD PRO scale. It has been invaluable to me.

  13. Only half the equation! If you burn fat instead of glycogen when you re fuel you won’t need to re fill glycogen so excess calories stores as fat. Excess calories always stores as fat

  14. I understand why the focus is on walking; it doesn't cost a gym membership nor any special equipment so most can do it, however, there is a portion of the population that have a very difficult time walking. It would be helpful when walking is praised that there is an alternative mentioned such as cycling or something else.

Over a month ago, I sprained my ankle. It still hurts quite a bit so walking even 20 minutes is out of the question. Also, I have a bad knee that has had three surgeries and walking actually causes knee pain. I found cying to be an excellent alternative. It's incredibly easy on my joints. I can go for a ride outside or jump on my exercise bike in my house for 20 minutes.

  15. Sustained a severe traumatic brain injury at 55. Had to learn how to walk again at 60. Now, 67, walking is helping all cognitive functions. Great presentation. Great reminders. If you aren't disabled, no excuses. Experience the benefits. Get moving.

  16. Walking foes nothing. I put on average 15-17k steps a day. I'm 40lbs overweight, and nothing I do will take the weight off….. So walking isn't helping my hormones either.
    (I don't drive, I hike every day, exercise 6 days a week and I'm a clinical massage therapist)1
