I’m 50 years old, and after losing 84 pounds, I’m learning that the real challenge is staying consistent when life gets hard.

Welcome back to GET UP, SIS 💕

In Week 10 of my weight loss journey, I’m sharing the honest struggles that come after losing a significant amount of weight. People often think the hardest part is losing the weight, but maintaining your progress, staying motivated, and continuing to show up can be just as challenging.

In this episode, I take you along through my real life—workouts, meals, errands, and the mental conversations that happen when the scale doesn’t always cooperate.

If you’re a woman over 50 trying to lose weight, build healthier habits, and create a lifestyle you can actually maintain, I hope this series encourages you to keep going.

Remember: progress isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up, even when you don’t feel like it.

  1. What’s been harder for you after losing weight: staying motivated, dealing with loose skin, or just staying consistent? 💕 Let me know in the comments—I’d love to hear your experience, and your story may help someone else too. 💖

  2. Hey! I understand what all you was saying about when us ladies loose weight! Our bodies goes through these changes 😢 We got so much going on with us! However just letting you know you're in the right direction with the weight lifting!!! As we get older we have to build strength 💪🏽 🙏🏽 You're definitely building muscle and toning! Just keep pressing sis! We got this ❤😊

  3. Hello! I’m a new subscriber and by chance ran across your videos by accident but I got the sneaky suspicion that GOD called an intervention and used your video to motivate me to GET up! 😂

Anyhow, this is day one of my 16-8 intermittent fasting and believe you me, I thought I was going to be hangry but surprisingly- I had no hunger pangs! I also prepared a high protein recipe that I found in a cookbook that a friend gifted me on my birthday. It was so filling that I don’t even feel the need to eat another meal tonight. I did however, make a strawberry, banana chia seed pudding for my snack should I get hungry later that I will eat before my 8 hr window closes.

Also going for my walks and monitor my progress each day and excited about my new body! All it takes is consistency as you had mentioned in another video. I knew that this is was what I needed to hear in my spirit to encourage me to take better care of myself. thank you for bringing my joy back!

  4. You're so inspiring!! ❤
I am prone to styes and black tea bags help a lot too. Just dip the bag in warm water and put it over your eye for 10-15 minutes a few times a day.

  5. I found you a few weeks ago and love the videos and your personality. Let's get it. We have similar approaches and I love that. For the neck I use the ROC firming stick I use at night and use sunblock in the morning.
