  2. I only count my calories because if not I end up eating more calories than I should, but its good because it helped me understand the amount of calories in food (most foods have more that I thought). But I agree that if you are not overweight like me, intuitive eating is the best

  3. This is such a good reminder that fat loss doesn’t have to mean doing more and eating less. I especially like the focus on moving away from one-size-fits-all rules. Tools like AlterMe can make that approach more personalized by looking at things like activity, recovery, sleep, and individual goals instead of relying on generic fitness advice.

  4. I have found when you’re trying to lose fat, don’t drink a protein shake after a workout. Only eat it through the day. I did this and lost a lot of weight. Like you said, you can’t spot train m. In order to lose fat where you want, you have to lose overall a certain percentage of body fat

  5. Based on what you experienced, I think you were overtraining and under fueling. I don’t think the type of training you were doing was wrong for you or anyone, but it was the volume and mostly the lack of recovery. I don’t think the calories and macros tracking was wrong either, but you were probably eating too little for the level of activity you were doing. As it seems that you quit pretty much everything from one day to the other it’s hard to tell which is the factor that made the real difference. Also without a body scan and measurements it’s hard to tell if there’s indeed a change in your body fat or if you just recovered from inflammation and water retention (due to overtraining and under fueling) or, worst, if you just lost muscle (this is the famous « skinny fat »). I’d be careful giving advice to people based in your personal experience only, specially when your advice is against all the scientific research and professionals approach. Aesthetic preferences are valid, but it’s more helpful to give advice based on health and longevity.

  6. I am a student and trying to find I job. Because I don’t have the time to walk 10k and go to gym everyday I decided to just run everyday slowly until I maintain 10k steps and I gym three to four times a week. It’s great!

  7. I do agree with the whole foods premise, however the diet advice is your personal experience. For me high protein and fat and low carb or carbs with a low glycemic index is the best for weight loss and I feel my best. However, I have two friends who feel like you: they need a lot more carbs and less protein. So, in the end everyone has to find out for themselves what works for them. What keeps them full and won't give them cravings.

  8. Thank god bless you for posting this video. I am on the journey, the part where i realize im training too hard and too crazy on the calories counting. Listening to my body.. its teaching me everyday!

  9. I never diet, eat whole foods to moderation, make healthy meal choices like desert pick your favorite fruits, mine is pineapple if not sweet enough l add may be 1/2 tablespoons of sugar or low calorie sugars that you like, holiday s eat cake like 1/2 slice next day pick fruits, be mideful of food you eat, eat to moderate, look at back to see portions sizes

  10. This video is really spot on above all the videos Ive watched. Im 50, post menopausal and 49kg. I got sick and went down to 40kg. I looked way too skinny but my skin hung everywhere. I had no tone and lost all muscle mass and developed multiple nutritional deficiencies. Now ive recovered but suffer the consequences of those deficiencies. Im developing lean muscle and eating only when im truly hungry, and eating healthy. Listen to your body above all and dont forget to enjoy life, its way too short. Thanks for this great video. BESTEST!!!

  11. One man's medicine is another man's poison, and vice versa. If i dont eat animal protein daily i am an emotional mess and i cant sleep. If i would eat bread or any grains, eggs or dairy, i would be sick to death. One only knows what works for them by listening to their own body. Keeping a food journal can help one understands what her body needs. Just because your body felt better with eating this way, IT DOESNT MEAN THAT THIS IS THE BEST WAY FOR EVERYONE ELSE.

  12. I think certain diet tips are made for people with binging disorders who can’t really eat intuitively. The problem is not everyone struggles with binging. I used to follow everyones advice word for word, i used to think that woman with pcos needed a different diet to lose weight but in reality its mostly a universal experience of women restricting and it not working which shouldve been a big enough indicator for me to just do what i thought was right instead of just following blindly.

  13. Abs are muscles same as any other muscle in your body, it’s simply not true that you don’t have to train abs. If you want them visible training stomach muscles is as essential as lowering you fat %. Please do not spread unprofessional and false information. Maybe your abs are genetically more visible without training them but for most people that will not be the case! Every person is an individual case and should consult a professional when starting their fitness journey!

  14. To me the most important thing that changed my body composition, having hormonal problems is: STRESS/cortisol. It means that eating in a way i dont like, avoiding things i like, doing sport i dont like, or to a rithm or time i dont like. Made it ALWAYS worse. Instead, eating even MORE than i ate to calm my body, with balanced macros, not worrying about how or when eat something sweet here and there, and doing a lot of "relaxing" body movements, drained away all my excess liquids, improved my digestion, made me actually FEEL better. Light yoga, pilates, walks, fast walks, swim. Massaging my legs and lymphatic sistem, eating fruits sometimes instead of sweets or eating compact easy digestible foods when i dont feel like eating. This saved my metabolism. And also learing to eat with not too much salt. Surprisingly i adapted very fast because i learned that maybe the first 2 bites doesn't seems to feel tasty but while you keep eating you start feeling the saltiness! Bad food is ok if not in excess and if the macros are balanced, especially while pms, you need that dopamine, that serotonine, if one meal of the day is bad but made you feel so relaxed and satisfied your body will be more than fine! Wanna eat that muffin? Ok fine, eat a veggie before the muffin or a few spoons of cottage cheese and then eat the muffin! And its all fine 😊

  15. You are smart and you are right about most of the health fads. Lots of what's marketed as being superfood could be inflammatory hence leading to more retention and weight gain

  16. Omg girl
… im so happy i made the choice to watch this video cuz i've been struggling with myself. I did all the exact same mistakes. I am 10(pls dont hate) i am 1,58(5'2) and i weight 48kg. Yeah gemini google etc say this weight is perfect for me and i already must be skinny rn.NO just NO. Well i kinda have fat arms and fat legs a little a very very round belly like it looks like im pregnant its not even bouncing or shaking if i jump or dance or whatever. I've been doing sit ups those jumping mans idk😭for months eating clean and guess what? I didn't took any off instead i even gained weight.so now im on vacation i took a break i stopped like doin those crunches or sport and ate a little candy and food i used to avoid. GUESS WHAT!? i noticed i got a little skinnier. Like my belly is less round.but my insecurity is not only my belly… my legs. They are extremely FAT ok not too wild but like idk 20-30 inches. Ok ik this isnt fat but my(sorry idk what this named on english so im gonna say it on german just translate)meine Oberschenkel sind sehr dick. Wenn ich mich hinsetze sind so omg so dick wie 3 Erwachsene hände.und meine wade ist auch dick😔But girl i saw videos saying if u have an unbouncy round(ok my belly is not that round and some little bouncy too i just noticed😅)belly(i do) means you're not fat. It means just 60%water and 40% fat. But all the others said its completely not true. I dont wanna talk about this with anyone cuz they are the ones making me feel insecure about myself. I've lost my selftrust cuz of everyone (almost) laughing at me while im being so jealous of the other girls that are healthy skinny and having my dream body just naturally.Gemini google chatgpt etc… wont help me cuz they say im too young to take off but im having enough of this misreable life. Thanks to ur video it actually worked for 2 weeks now. But idk what to do now. Am i really just fat or what kind of belly is this i cant get rid off cuz my friend is actually fat. FAT. her belly is like bouncy so if she would just do this she could actually be skinny now leaving me as the ugliest in our group😔i mean i dont wannabe be the only fat one but neither i want her to be fat and feeling sad and insecure (wich she already is) well i wrote a life story but W if u read all of this pls if u know any tips pls help me i wannabe skinny(if u say my weight is good no pls then dont reply i really wannabe a true skinny form)before becoming a Teenager… im actually so sad pls somebody give me help i just want the hurting to stop😔

  17. thanks for the video, i recently had knee pain take some time to heal, I couldn't work out like I used to, I was super frustrated because of it, now I can relax~

  18. Love this. I took up ballet and stretching a couple of years ago and gradually lost like 10kg doing those for just a couple of hours a week and intermittent fasting when I can be bothered (not during period weeks). My goal was to create a routine I could maintain FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. Ballet brings me so much joy as an excuse to wear shrugs and leg warmers without feeling like a fraud, so I don't feel my workouts are a chore. But anytime I feel unmotivated to go to class, I grab a gentle stretch tutorial from yt instead and do that for however long I feel like it.

  19. Seriously I HATE everything about salads! Throw a bunch of tasteless leaves in a bowl, add some vegetables that will keep you satiated for a total of 12 minutes and drown it in stuff that overpowers any flavour and makes everything taste like shit. And then have the audacity to call this a full meal too?? Who the fuck invented this and thought it was a good idea?!

  20. Even after watching this video, I still have questions. Before deciding to lose weight, you were already listening to your body and eating whatever you wanted. But since the body doesn’t always clearly tell us what it actually needs, you ended up eating anything you wanted and gained weight.

After that, you started dieting, training, trying to eat healthier, learning about nutrition, and cutting out a lot of foods. So basically, you became more disciplined and more conscious about what you eat.

And now you’re saying to stop all of that, go back to eating whatever you want whenever you want, “listen to your body,” and somehow magically lose weight? The logic just doesn’t really add up to me. I’m honestly confused. (Will all respect ❤)
