📌 Quick Note on Fasted Workouts & Meds:
While I do walk fasted for fat loss, I don’t weight train fasted. Personally, I feel my body needs fuel to lift well and recover properly. I’m not lifting weights to burn fat—I lift to build and maintain muscle, especially after 50. So for strength workouts, I always eat beforehand.
➡️ Walking fasted = fat burn.
➡️ Lifting fueled = muscle growth.
Two different goals, two different strategies. 💪
🩺 As for medications: Many of you have asked if taking meds before a walk breaks your fast. Most don’t affect the fasted state—but always follow your doctor’s orders first. Your health is more important than timing the walk perfectly.

Excellent info 👍
Walking outdoors releases endorphins and reduces cortisol (the stress hormone), proving highly effective at combating age-related anxiety and depression.
Also, exposing your eyes to natural sunlight during a morning walk resets your circadian rhythm, helping you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer at night.
This does work – I do 30 mins at least daily fasted (with water + Himalayan salt). I also do 18:6 1pm to 7pm. Break fast with low sugar muesli with chopped strawberries, chopped banana + raisins. High on whole foods. Try to focus on protein. Low on processed foods. No crisps/chips pasta etc – you know the list. Stay hydrated. Weight steadily dropping off.
This makes so much sense thank you very much, I'm 54 trying hard, I'm in wales uk,
If i work early, can I brisk walk before settling in at night if last meal is around 5? Will that work also?
Fastest weights lol. A recipe for an injury
Excellent advice, I had never thought of this. I do walk most days but do so in the evenings. 30 minutes brisk walking in the morning for me now.
I'm not as worried about belly fat, as much as loose skin. I was almost 400 lbs. I am now 264 and losing. I've been assured that my diet will cause autophagy and eliminate the loose skin. However, I would like to tighten things up. Both muscular and the Dermis layer. Will these protocols that you are presenting Speed up the process?
Good info thanks
80 full body squats equal 10k steps
I have started practicing this and have only been eating between noon and 6pm, and am starting to results, but most of the time had a piece of gum before bed to make my breath fresher for the CPAP machine, so it was great to learn that chewing that piece of gum was breaking my fast. Thanks a bunch for this video!!
"your body has no choice than to burn fat"….actually it will try to break down muscle first in particular in a catabolic, fasted state.
I work out pretty much every day, both cardio and resistance. But man, the thought of dragging my ass out of bed and doing my daily walk at 0-dark-hundred is hard to accept.
Last year, I started walking a lot on the treadmill and noticed my belly fat dropped while weighing the same: 155. My weight fluctuated between 152 and 155, and my belly was chubby before walking; it still was chubby, but the fat in my belly dropped from walking only. However, I stopped walking last year because the power went off for a week, so I got used to not walking. But last week, I started walking again, and I still weigh 155. My belly fat and thighs dropped again from just walking. I also noticed last year that from walking a lot, I sleep better, feel fuller more easily, and I'm not as groggy when waking up. Walking really is very impressive for a monster like cardio. Legs and thighs also get toned from walking. I sometimes jog to get my steps done faster, but I don't sweat much doing that, whereas when I walk only at 3.2-3.4 on my treadmill, I sweat more, and my legs feel more tired. Since walking for 3 weeks, fat has dropped, and I'm still at 153 but leaner. Walking is like a knife cutting through a board for fat; it's amazing. When I was in high school, the first year I weighed only 125. I didn't work out, and I was ripped-well, I had abs . I started working out with weights the second year and started getting toned all over. I didn't eat really well either, but I was so small my abs showed great. Years later, I went up to 140, and my belly was kind of chubby, so abs were still showing a little bit. I still worked out but didn't eat really well. After high school, I went all the way up to 170. My abs and belly I no longer had. I was just 160 last year and dropped to 153 this year, as I said up top. What I learned is that people who say that abs start in the kitchen are mistaken because even though I dropped from 160 to 153 and stopped eating so much, I still was chubby in my belly. I only started dropping fat in my belly and chest from walking,I actually have more detail in my abs at this 153 weight compared to when I was smaller at 140.
I've been doing 20 mile hikes while fasting for years. Always makes me feel great!
All these things these people put on the Internet will help you loose weight but if you want to loose weight there is no secret to it stop eating garbage and drinking alcohol and eat on a regular basis and never eat after 20.00, eat healthy look it up and do not over eat load up on vegetables, I guarantee you will loose weight and if you don't you are not sticking to you healthy eating, sorry but as you age you must cut down especially on junk food and Alcohol
I walk about 90 to 120 minutes nearly every day, in the morning, before anything. I also don't eat much every day. I don't have a lot of belly fat, but I do have some, and I haven't had any belly fat loss.
You went for a walk, wow you're my hero.
How are people "clearing their heads" if they walk? I keep hearing this, but walking just fills up my head with thoughts.
Thanks, brah. We love your niceness and your channel.
Lemon juice is fine too; also adding resistance training will help because the more muscle, the more energy required for that muscle
Restore my years.
consistent mild fasting is a superpower, sleep will improve and you WILL lose fat
Nice video man, I’m gonna start tomorrow morning 👍
I am 58 years old man… with a pot belly… I would love to start walking more but I had a knee replaced and now one leg is slightly shorter than the other… so when I walk about 15 minutes I start hurting . So I walk for 10 minutes 3 different times a day.. if anyone has a suggestion for another type of exercise I would be grateful!!
God bless to all
Is a treadmill just as good as walking ?
In the section where you talk about fasted walking, the video shows someone making a coffee. Does having coffee before setting out break the fast?
Also, if you can, also try to walk for a good 15 minutes AFTER you eat to help with digestion.
"Stay consistent" is what I heard.
can i drink my coffee before a fasted state walk? no milk?
You have saved me from PRs. Now all DBs.
thanks
Another way to get rid of it is to stay off the ale 🍺
Great videos you have I am55 and 214 trying to get to 180 i want to loose fat but still gain muscle can i do this with walking and cardio on my 3 non resistance training days, and do i make it my goal to take protein for my goal weight or more. I am not a big meal eater i get full pretty quick and feel full all day..
Regards
He’s close. Nothing you do will burn fat off your body until all the stored calories in your liver are burned (3000 to 3500). I burn in a rested state 2100 calories per 24 hrs so that’s a 36 to 38 hr fast before I can burn fat off my body.
It’s true. I do intermittent fasting and I start my day with a 30 minutes walk. Always stay hydrated with water or green tea. And keep the electrolytes in check. When breaking fast go for the proteins and fiber. Eggs and Greek yogurt will never fail you.
