  1. I am suffering chronic stress and have lost so much weight I look like a concentration camp victim, my appetite though is very good, as I write this I am drinking a tub of fresh double Cream which gives around 1500 calories as a way to get more calories in while keeping carbs to a minimum. My stress has caused cortisol/blood sugar issues.

  2. I’ve been watching your videos for a long time or at least some of them. I do find that your older videos were higher quality because you weren’t focused on ads when you’re talking, selling products for profit, and getting people to leave comments to boost your visibility and profits. Perhaps you could just save that stuff for the end. Also maybe talk a little slower? The humorous stuff isn’t really helpful because these are all serious topics. I understand you have to earn a paycheck, but I feel like in some of these videos it is dominating and is a turn off.

  3. Stressed I eat more non fat high protein yoghurt with nuts almond spread collagen liquid, olive leaf extract, green powder, green banana powder…concoction to dampen and satisfy my stress monster. Also a hack is my cinnamon gum (Pur is the brand) thus chew chew chew.

  4. This sponsorship just felt really out of touch and kinda disappointing. You’re usually so thoughtful about topics like BED and bulimia, which often involve addictive behaviors, so it’s surprising to see you promote a product that’s all about drinking more comfortably. A lot of eating disorders go hand in hand with substance use struggles, and this feels off for a channel focused on health and recovery.

The alcohol industry’s messaging is so toxic, like 'you need alcohol to enjoy life,' and this product plays right into that. It’s easy to see how something like this could be misused, especially by people who might already be at risk. Just feels like a weird fit for your channel, and I hope you’ll consider that in the future.

  5. I stress, anger, frustration eat. I have totally gotten off a call from my mom and rage ate a banana and cookies. There’s not logic in what I grab as long as it’s in reach

  6. So I call it “eating my feelings” as that is exactly what it is. When stressed, I’m not happy, and I tend to go for food that can help me feel something other than that (stressed). They are not necessarily comfort foods, they’re more like whatever is in front of me, as this tends to happen at work (I’m a nurse). So there’s always some leftover pizza, chocolates, or donuts in the break room and I go straight for that. Note: I don’t even LIKE donuts, but when stressed, if they’re there, I will eat one with the false hope that it will relax me and help me feel happy 😢

  7. Great video. New viewer, love the content! Curious to know, if being in and having chronic pain every day, does this cause excess cortisol and weight gain?

  8. I’m late to this video but I’m so curious how this changes for folks with cPTSD, when we are constantly in a high cortisol state. Saying as someone who regularly lifts, has an average to good relationship with food, is extremely tall and lightly “heavy” for my size.

  9. I had my cortisol tested by my endocrinologist, because stressful situations have been proven to make one's blood sugar rise. Does elevated cortisol make me gain weight? Certainly not. In fact I had always felt that I lost my appetite during stressful situations because I feel like I'm going to throw up. It was on the high side, but still in the normal range, first thing in the morning. I had elected not to get it tested again, because avoiding stressful situations is easier said than done. There's only so much I can do to reduce them.

  10. Sorry Abby, I see right through you. Very poor form, trying you use YT to blast others, rather than find a better nutrition map. As an engineer with many MDs, PHDs, RNs, and APRNs in the fam, I can say papers mean little in your field. Focus more or real, proven science, and less on trying to tear others down, and I might remove you from ignore. Use my words as constructive criticism. We all know diet is a huge problem in the USA. Like BIG.

  11. Hi there! 👋🏽 Could you make a video explaining fats? The trend around beef tallow, ghee, and similar fats is a bit confusing, and I’d love some clarity! 🫶🏽

  12. Yep yep. When I was a senior in high school there was a lot of arguing going on between my parents and some of my brothers and it stressed me out so much. I would go babysit for people and just eat all the chocolate in their pantries 🤦‍♀️ it was not good.

  13. Could you do a diet review of the Whole30 and the Whole30 plant based? I'm considering starting Whole30 to transfer myself into the vegan lifestyle as I am a vegetarian now. Thank you!

  14. When I’m stressed, I do tend to overeat, but that rarely causes weight gain (certainly nothing lasting, anyway), and because I’ve had it tested, I fully believe that is because my cortisol response functions normally. You’d think that stress eating and living in a larger body (especially with generalized anxiety disorder) would make for naturally elevated cortisol levels, but nope! Bodies are weird. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  15. Hi abby! I just wanted to thank you for always stating the facts and having compassion for people of all body types ❤. Im actually trying to loose weight atm and your hunger crushing combos are a life saver!

  16. I stress eat so badly. Always causes my weight issues. Abbey, I would love to see a video about how to eat out without ruining your successes. I do so well all week, and then when it comes to the weekends, I struggle.

  17. I totally get the new format, because youtube loves shorter videos but this could have been a little more in depth. I feel like your style has become a bit rushed. Love your work, I hope it doesn't turn into the tiktokification of long form videos.
