If you have a slow metabolism, feel like your metabolism is broken, or can’t figure out why you can’t lose weight, this video is for you. I’m showing you how to increase and speed up your metabolism so fast it feels like cheating. The secret: eat more, lose fat.
I spent so many years under-eating 500 to 1,200 calories a day, doing keto, intermittent fasting and a calorie deficit, and I still couldn’t lose weight. Today I eat 3,000+ calories, stay lean and have a high metabolism. In today’s video I’ll show you how to fix and reset your metabolism through cortisol and stress hormones, thyroid health, blood sugar balance, eating carbs to lose weight, building muscle with strength training, walking for fat loss, and reverse dieting so you can eat more and lose weight while your metabolism increases.

I'm like is this some skinny tok model over here and then it's a video where you actually explain the basics as they are, very clearly and very accurately. I hope people listen 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I'm a coach and there's so much misinformation out there. The sunlight thing was new to me and makes sense for sure. I live in Finland where in the winter time at some point the darkness is 247, we don't see the sun at all and it's definitely depressing and easier to gain weight
This hit different, wow.
So true, this really resonates with me.
I'm a doctor and The Secret Book of Healing by Thomas Grant is one read I suggest to all my patients. It's so eye opening.
The Secret Book of Healing by Thomas Grant completely changed how I think about health. Game changer.
It's wild how The Secret Book of Healing by Thomas Grant is not talked about more. It's so powerful.
Needed this today, seriously.

Love the vid!
I struggle a lot to eat for breakfast. I have no hunger feeling at all, sometimes even the opposite, since I was a child. So I am fasting for a looooong time in the morning.
Maybe I should start with an egg, or other lightweight things to get used to it, although there is no hunger feeling? Thanks.
I'm so glad i found this video. You are glowing!!! It's hard not to immediately jump on the bandwagon when the person speaking looks so calm and in control, lol. I used to weigh 20-30lbs more than I do now when I was lifting heavy, pushing myself, and living a more active lifestyle; I felt better about my body and much, much stronger. Though the weight bothered me, after losing it through some major life changes and a bit of a slump, I just feel weaker and "pudgier". I'm grateful people like you exist on the internet because it is damn hard to keep your head straight on as a woman, constantly having her body or weight commented on, and all these different voices telling you what to do or eat. Thank you!
Ashleyyyy girl how tall are youuu if you dont mind me askingg

eating more and i have gained weight !!!!!!!!
Hi Ashley! I loved this video and your tips, also that you are so active in the comments. I'm overweight and have been struggling to lose weight (used to be obese but I think I've plateaued, so something was working but not as well anymore) – and I was wondering if all of this advice stands e.g. eating breakfast early, macros, eating every 3-4 hrs, avoiding fasting for losing weight? Is it possible to just do all of those things and stay within a decreased calorie budget? Another big question I had was about cardio and stress – I really enjoy running actually and wonder what you'd recommend to keep running up with as little stress as I can? Running and walking is usually what I do together, I'll do 2 minutes running and 1 minute walking for around 5-6 sets and then walk all the way I ran out back.
How tall are you? Just curious
This is exactly what I needed to see today.

a pound of muscle burns about 6 more calories. So 10 more pounds of muscle buys you 60 more calories. I understand what you're trying to do and say but stop saying "backed by science" when you are not depicting the science correctly, its misleading and causes so many issues for people just trying to understand and learn. Its straight misinformation .
I hear what you're getting at, but the mechanisms you're describing as to why this happens is just wrong. When cortisol and adrenaline are elevated, your metabolic rate is elevated. These hormones rise during exercise as well, they don't just shut your body down. Its being able to come out of that elevated state to repair thats imperative, but cortisol and adrenaline are necessary and the reason WHY your metabolism turns on and burns energy. If these elevated hormones cause yout o reach for more food it will certainly blunt your weight-loss efforts, but it does not slow your metabolism and make you store fat.

I’m so confused about fasting, I believe fasting helps a lot in having our bodies restart its immune system and faster recovery. I feel like fasting at least once to three times a month won’t slow our metabolism as women. But you help me figure this out…
