In today’s episode, our guest is Pooja Makhija, Clinical nutritionist, Author and Entrepreneur. She breaks down Indian eating habits, the science behind cravings, and why most of us are chronically low on nutrition without even realising it. From protein deficiency to sugar addiction, salt myths, meal sequencing, gut health, thrifty genes, sleep, and even travel constipation, Pooja simplifies everything with powerful analogies and practical fixes.
This is the episode you send to every Indian who thinks “one bowl of dal is enough” or believes “poha is healthy because it’s light.” Pooja reveals why 73% of India is protein deficient, why we’re eating naked carbs, how to use fibre and protein to ‘dress’ your carbs, and the exact order in which you should eat your meals to cut glucose spikes.
She also explains hidden reasons behind sugar cravings, the role of salt, why sugar is 8× more addictive than cocaine, the importance of hydration and minerals, and how sleep deprivation derails your fat metabolism. We also talk about India’s genetic makeup, why we have the “storer” body type, why we’re prone to diabetes, and how our classic Indian thali is still one of the best-designed meals in the world.

Normally people believed when you put some experts and specialist's here so if one information is wrong it can affect lot of people by physically and mentally.
You didn’t ask about the vegan diet !
Bhai Sinclair,Huberman k baad ye kise le aaye
Hi. I’m a doctor. The information given by her about salt is absolute nonsense. Not for all cases we give Nacl/ saline. When you deliver information kindly recheck as many people rely on information especially because many people follow your podcast.
00:11:24 isiliye indian wedding mein salad pehle serve hota hai🤔😎🤪🤣
Nice information ❤
Thanks
Under eating sugar is not harm, no sugar at all is best even for children. She is educated nutritionists not reel certified nutritionists, so listen to her carefully
God sake. How can she say sodium reduced BP? Please go read Renin Angiotensin system.
she is a genius with f crazy communication skills like focusing on to the point and voice aspiration and manipulations ,,,,,lovely she is
Sugar is 8 times more addictable than cocaine because cocaine is 80 times more expensive than sugar that is the only reason this is my pov
Enjoyed the podcast🙌👍
Summary ?
Sorry to say the information level is very surface…. Expected much more deep 😊
Eat good…work under sunlight
Boring bro, check ur graph ur going upwards….plz 😂
So much of misinformation.
She can't even pronounce the word saline… People like her should not spread the wrong message
I love Karela
I really don't agree with her views on salt. They seem factually incorrect. Sodium increases BP. Damn
So much informative….thanks for such content
She is confident in what she says but not true 😂. People get confused with what these people on podcast say . When you bring someone people think they have great knowledge and want to believe them (that’s the power of chair infront of you ) but some say no breakfast she says belly fat .. this day and age is a curse for common viewer like us
Ye kya bol rhe h 18:9 satvee fail sodium kese reduce kar sagta h bp.
Raj bhai mene abhe abhe apke podcast dekhna shru kiya h ye 3rd tha but ye dekhne ke bad to mein dobara sochna parega pehly laga apke pass jo bhi guest aata h wo sach aur logical bolty h aur unke bat man ke follow karon but after this girl lagta h faida sirf salt m he hai bp high to bhi salt sugar low to bhi salt.
She claims india thali is the best, no not at all. Though balanced, it contains least amount of protein and that too incomplete proteins. Indian thali is typically loaded with simple carbohydrates which is one major source of diabetes.
Advice to eat more salt is a gross misconception. Pl don’t mislead anyone with this nonsense.
Great podcast. However, I strongly disagree to the concept of more salt being okay. Body works with a delicate balance of Sodium and Potassium. It may be okay for a normal person to eat salt in excess at times but for most people, the excess salt is harmful. People who have kidney or heart issues definitely are recommended low sodium diets. Also excess sugar does come out in urine as well, that’s the peak of diabetes and people generally die with that much amount of sugar in blood. Urine is all the things waste and what body does not need.
So much wrong information given here with so much confidence. I always fear people who shows so much confidence bcs that helps them hide their knowledge and skill level. I really want that @raj should cross check every information given by guest speaker first before putting it online.
Jaha english me bol rahi hai upload karne se pahle aap edit karke hindi kar dijiye
