  1. Only tip from me is ditch sea salt and get unrefined Celtic salt. Sea salt is most often bleached and processed which removes 80+ micronutrients naturally present, while “Celtic” branded salts have them intact.

  2. • Carbohydrate Restriction: The primary rule is to lower daily carbohydrate intake as close to zero as possible, focusing on non-starchy leafy greens while avoiding berries, grains, and most starchy vegetables (1:36 – 3:55).
    • Insulin Management: To address insulin resistance, the strategy emphasizes consuming fiber from 7–10 cups of vegetables to feed gut microbes, which produce butyrate to help normalize insulin levels (4:31 – 6:15).
    • Protein and Fat Balance: Rather than high-fat/moderate-protein, this "extreme" approach suggests moderate protein (3–6 ounces per meal) and restricted fat (around 75g per day) to force the body to tap into its own fat reserves (6:19 – 19:57).
    • Intermittent and Prolonged Fasting: The program encourages gradually reducing meal frequency to One Meal A Day (OMAD) or even eating every other day for those who are severely plateaued, letting hunger levels guide eating times (20:01 – 24:58).
    • Supportive Habits: Dr. Berg highlights the importance of electrolytes (potassium and magnesium), B vitamins, and sea salt to prevent deficiencies, alongside regular exercise—ideally high-intensity interval training—performed in a fasted state to maximize growth hormone (28:42 – 37:55).

  3. I started doing intermittent fasting and doing the keto cutting carbs and I lost 30 pounds very quickly still have another 30 to go but hit plateau. My metabolism slowed down to match the calories I was taking in so I was changing up by adding a few more calories trying to change my times of the intermittent fasting a hair all of those things already but your webinar I happen to Cross. I’ve always paid attention to anything that was yours that posted, but I am very encouraged by this. I also just finished a 48 hour fasting trying to reignite my metabolism so at this point I am so appreciative of this new information because I’ve been doing one meal a day for a long time and I definitely will be able to do one meal every other day because I’m not that hungry so I’ll do once a month the 48 hour fast they don’t think I could go 72 because I do have a little bit of hunger at that point, but I was eating some nuts that I felt were healthier fats, and a few things like that I now know where the wrong thing to do and I was also having kidney stones so thank you thank you thank you, Dr. Byrne I expect within less than the next two months I will be sending in saying I’ve lost the other 30 pounds

  4. Watching this in 2026….. i got some of my minerals from pink Himalayan salt in my water…. When i was in deep ketosis, it gave me a charge of energy…. It felt great. I’m revisiting my keto journey (this was a sign because it popped up for me to watch) But yes you can look like a flabby crackhead because the weight just drops off (it’s like tapping into your internal glp x 100) without guidance and some weight training, the crackhead comment is not far fetched

  5. 3 to 6 ounces of protein per MEAL? I'm in the UK and apparently that's like 85-170g. I'm used to 1 portion which is around 30 grams of protein if I'm eating an appropriate sized portion. That's 125g of tuna or chicken or thereabouts for example.
How on Earth do you find 170g of protein?! That's like about 700g of chicken or fish for example! I'm not interested in whey shakes or casein powder, I am looking at whole foods only, is this correct? And for 1 or 3 meals a day? That's a lot of meat to afford! If it's not meat it's going to meal a LOT more of nuts and pulses!

  6. Hi Dr Berg im a vegetarian not vegan so eat eggs dairy etc could you give me a plate idea so I could lose weight but have enough protein please am struggling with my weight ive tried all the fads but nothing is working its really depressing, love your channel from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤

I've been intermitting fasting for several months, you have helped me tremendously in understand the further changes I need to make to reach my health goals. I love the way you explain everything & not just tell us what to do.
Thank you so very much for helping us to get healthy! 💕

  8. Starting a 2 day fast today. I purchased your B vitamins, electrolytes, gallbladder capsules, digestive enzymes, and magnesium powder. I have your weight loss protocol daily checklist, but it includes food choices. Should I follow the checklist recommendations minus the food for a full fast? Or do you have a protocol sheet for a no food fast?

  9. God bless you Dr Berg! I've done magnificent things for my health trough the years following your advises and quitting due to my abcence of will or motivation and obeying the "inner pig' in me (althou the pigs are much more intelligent than me) 😂😂😂😂😂 But everytime I decide to go back to the light there you are leading the way! I lost 20kg the last 2 months and wish to lose at least 40kg the next 2,5 months so I look nice on an event and I know I'm compleatly realisticaly buisy so God bless you to share all the info with us! ❤❤❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😘😘😘

  11. This is all well and good unless you are extremely insulin resistant and your liver thinks your starving all the time. I went 30 day 0 to 5 carbs my blood sugar ran 300 every day all day for the whole 30 days never even budged. Why dont you even answer to that. Its not me eating it my liver producing sugar. I cant get into ketosis with that much sugar in my blood. My doctor dont have answers for me except shove insulin insulin after insulin which dont work either i have searched and searched for help but no one addresses this issue. It so cute to tell normal people how to do this but your theory dont work when there is a real issue.
