In my 30s I was able to lose fat relatively fast. Last year I ended up gaining about 30 lbs due to a bunch of different tragedies that happened. This year I've been lifting regularly, I've cleaned up my diet for the most part, and I've been doing a lot of activities like biking and hiking. I've lost 20 of those 30 lbs, but it's taken me like 6 months. But I don't really pay attention to the scale because I've put on a considerable amount of muscle and my clothes fit much better. I'm still losing weight in the form of fat, but it's taking me longer now. Still, I feel younger in my early 40s than I did in my 20s and 30s when I was obese and not taking care of myself.
blah blah blah science science science stuff
Tren + Test = weightloss, shredded.
I dont care if comments say that's cheating. Works great, feel ultra healthy, and I dont do anything close to high dose. I actually do lower than recommended.
How can someone who’s under 40 give advise on loosing weight over 40?
I am 40yeaes old plz help me for wait loss my wait is 104 hight is 5.6
First do not eat any fast food or processed foods. The chemicals Will inhibit you. That's why the testosterone decline. A combination of chemicals that cause testosterone decline and obesity so a double whammy with foods you did not prepare yourself. That's one. Two you need a great vitamin line up ( do get labs done after starting a full complete daily vitamin regime) fine tune off your lab results with a nutritional expert that you can trust. Third….. You need at least 1.5 grams of protien per lb of body weight. Alternate workouts. Weight training one day and cardio the next. Rest at least one day a week. Stay calorie deficit until you reach maintence phase. About your MOJO. It didn't slow me down a damn bit. Wife couldn't keep up. My testosterone went through the roof naturally. Also don't take any "juice" unless prescribed by a doctor.
Diet is the key
I believe this person who made this video does not like cardio (or running per se). A person can lose weight by exercising with weights and cardio (running). A lot can do with a person’s diet.
Since turning 40, I've gained 25 pounds. I'm now a behemoth.
Dude you are difficult to listen to.
✔️
I only looked at the thumbnail; uh yes, if you are part of the male gender, thanks to your testosterone you have to use weights if you wanna burn fat, especially heavy and no dumbbells for some reason don't count, you have to use a barbell.
Reason why cardio works for women so well is long story short their estrogen.
I learned all this the hard way.
Lift, eat the right things and walk. Works for me.
🫠
How has it been going for you bro?
Weight falls off with an hour of calisthenics 3x week . True story 😮
That west coast beat still rocking. I'm listening and head boppn
The study says we need to take in carbs, but what about those of us that are diabetic? Adding carbs back in can be very bad for my health.
😊
Didn't touch on Fat intake… You said…Get your 1.0+ grams of Protein and your fat and whats left is carbs… But what is a good fat intake % for fat loss..I'm 66 years old 207lbs 5'8 mainly lifting 3 days a week since 1/1/2024 (lol.no I'm serious about losing) I've been bouncing between 207-209lbs daily, So I need at least 200g Protein and what Fat ??% plus Carb colories for whats left… I am building muscle, I can see and feel it but not losing weight…. it would be nice to get to my ideal weight 175lbs
One last thing…I float between 2-3 channels and I really prefer your for to the point with References and information that follows what I've learned and forgotten through the years..THANKS Love your video's lol
guys, im 54. its true, it gets harder and harder. at 35 yo i noticed ten percent fat gain. last ten years from age 44 to 54 ive struggled massively to get from 34 percent body fat to under 25 percent. right now, ive busted my ass all year, walking every day, and i was stuck at 34 percent w only cardio and diet. i was not losing a damn pound! i found out my testosterone was under 190 and started TRT – and now i am losing weight finally, with weight training, cardio and good diet. im losing about 1.2 pounds of fat per week in the last 12 weeks and gaining .9 lbs muscle per week. testosterone is up over 600 now. this is the testosterone effect. i recommend not waiting until your are clinically obese before checking your testosterone levels, you need it if you want to stay healthy! i should have started ten years ago!!
Hey is StrongLifts with Muay Thaitraining be 5
I have no problem losing fat. Its just annoying when i lose muscle with it. Its like i lose weight, but i become a smaller version of myself, with the same looking ratios of fat and muscle. Or at least it seems like that. Ill lose 20 lbs but ill still be able to pinch an inch. Hell, ill lose 100 lbs and ill still have a belly
It's getting harder and harder to 'trust the science' these days. A friend of mine (46 y/o) recently lost 100 lbs in 90 days by simply running 5-6 miles a day and adjusting his diet. It was astounding. He looked like a different person after only 3 months!. Next I would add that Dr. Saladino would severely disagree with the recommendation to eat vegetables. And he too has massive proof and is extremely knowledgeable about the specifics mainstream medicine won't even look at.
What can I do? I am 43, I am around 380(after losing 82 lbs.(462) from February 2021 to February 2022). I have hit a plateau from early 2022 that has kept me around the 380 mark. Have not gained or lost weight since then. I walk 90-120 minutes a day during the work week and 60 on Saturdays. I also fast 12-16 hours every day. But unfortunafely, I cannot lift weights due to Carpal Tunnnel Syndrome which has effected mentally. I consume 100+ grams of protein and drink a gallon or more of water a day since Feb.
2021. Beef, Chicken, Turkey and Broccoli comprises my primary diet.
dont think u should have apple there right? So many other fruits we want and need way more than shitty apples, juaqch
✌️✌️✌️
One problem, at least for me, after over 30 years of doing weights and cardio, I have acquired many injuries that won't go away so lifting or doing cardio like I used to is impossible.
The snare drum is distracting.
You lost me on using sunscreen to lose weight. Embedded ad?
At 45 I'm in my second week of prep for for an August 19th regional Masters competition. Coach has me training 5 days a week, 45 fasted ss am cardio, and 12 minutes HIIT post workout. Diet is high protein and carbs, low fat, with a focus on cellular hydration and recovery. I feel good. Should be a great prep.
Here's a question hopefully someone answers. I'm 60. What if you have heart disease and need to do cardio. What's a good ratio of cardio to weight training? Right now I do weightlifting and about 20 minutes of cardio 4 times a week.
A healthy lifestyle is something you refine over time – not overnight
The information contained in this video is invaluable! I'm 37 now, and just switched from a high protein, low carb deficit to a higher carb, high protein diet. This is what my dietician recommended as well since I was starting to regress in progress. 10k steps, down from 15k per day. Less cardio, more carbs. Works a treat. I'm tighter, stronger in the gym and overall just feel better. Sound advice!
Eat more protein and eat more carbs. How am I going to get into that caloric deficit then?
600 carbs 1 week zero the next
NATE DOGGGGG
No fruit can replace micronutrients from meat 😉
Build muscle. More muscle means less fat and more Testosterone.
I like how Alpha's pants have the same design as a styrofoam cup.
I'm over 40 keep calories low around 1000 calories-1500 and good exercise instant weight down if it doesn't work go 700-900 cal it will. Went 190 to 170 in a week I ate hard to 195 which I like.
It's not hard to lose weight any age despite what ppl say. Tiege hanley mvp
Thank you for the video! I really appreciate the info. But, I can't do carbs! I'm 56 and I've lost 65 lbs. In one year. My diet is mainly seafood, fruits and veggies and rice is the only carb. No bread,no pasta, no dairy, No cake or candies. I try to do dips, planks, and stretching almost every day.
You should be doing weights, cardio and diet it’s called proper lifestyle and no the interference effect is a stupid insignificant myth
Could you please discuss emotional eating.
11:26 I love Alpha's Popeye moment.😂
