This look delicious! Thanks for the recipe and breakdowns. ❤ Love that it’s whole food and simple! Please make more!
You’re right—it’s all about calories. Should you eat whole foods? Absolutely. Healthier foods may keep you fuller longer, but a calorie deficit is ultimately what causes weight loss.
seems strange no fruit
OMG don’t count calories
Eat high fat eat protein through your food cut your carbs down below 20 g a day and eat until you are completely full it’s called the keto diet I do close to 0 carbs a day and it’s called carnivore diet
I don’t eat bread rice or pasta anymore and I try not to eat anything out of a package besides veggies meats and cheese. I still eat sweet potatoes boiled banana beans yuka and plaintains.
1500 is probably ok, but also kinda the lowest healthy level. Too little can be risky. I lost menstruation and slapped my thyroid to being underactive by eating 1200-1500 kcal per day. After going back to more normal kcal intake menstruation returned and even thyroid started to work normally again (which suprised even doctors)…. but in too low kcal intake my body went to survival mode and even affected my thyroid hormone production..
Thanks for sharing! 😃
My issue is sugar—I don't drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes but I do like chocolate or pastries such as chocolate twists, omg I think I'm addicted to those. I think the sugar is messing with my skin though as it reduces collagen so I'm going to have to cut it out and eat fruit instead—natural fruit sugars aren't as harmful and I still get the "sweet fix".
Im a lil shorter than Jennifer and I gain weight with anything over 1100 calories per day 🙁 and that's with regular exercise
You are sooooo beautiful
Family Genetics!!! Huge role im weight situations!
Calorie deficit is way overrated. Many women need to EAT MORE not less but also eat whole foods and likely more protein a d more healthy fat.
In order to lose a pound of body fat there is supposed to be an accumulated calorie defecit of 3500 calories. If you eat 1200 and your deficit is only 300 it would take 11 or 12 days to lose one pound. Thats sensible but most people would have water fluctuations and never see that one pound loss on the scale and say its not working and quit. Thats why it has to be a way of life and trust the process. I have to admit at this stage of life its more diet motivation to stay healthy than worry about jean size. Starting getting digestion issues etc that I dont have at a lower body weight. I have a very similar diet ideology as you and love the videos. Still using some of your suggestions on the daily like the egg steaming pod and bacon salt. I still need to open the snail mucin you talked me into, I hope it didnt go bad. LOL
Yea 1500 at my age even though I’m fit and exercise 6 days a wk , I’d gain weight. Everyone’s body works differently… and at 63 w having 4 babies, zero health issues and 6 day workouts , I still can’t do 1500. Wish I could even w my clean eating. I follow every highly rated nutritionist on here and my bloodwork is totally normal & no meds. They say I can eat 1500-1800. lol never doing it. I’d have to exercise all day lol
I drain the grease first why waste all those seasonings. Also the sams club brand cheapest "good" ground beef is so amazing no grease ever
I wld rather have full eggs with yolk and no tortilla lol
I love the "well i had a baby i cant lose the weight" gurl your baby is like 12 yrs old stop with thst excuse lol, i have 6 kids ive stayed under 130 my entire adult life
Love HEB! ❤ I’m up the road from you in San Antonio! 🎉
You had 50 carbs total if that
You are cutting out most carbs so it’s not just calories like you say
The Jenkins Colorized World
Sharp greys, blues, whites, and pale blues—or, at the other extreme, saturated passages of purple, magenta, and pink—exert an immediate and singular effect.
As a viewer, I am seduced almost instantly. Yet as an architect, something more consequential unfolds: the surface relinquishes its flatness. It deepens, gathers volume, and intimates a polychrome interior into which one might almost step.
What is most striking in Josef Albers' Homage to the Square series is its extraordinary discipline. The compositions arise from geometric figures, and, crucially, the colors never overlap. The image is constructed from adjoining, sharply bounded planes—each hue held apart, yet placed in precise relation to the next.
At first glance, this may seem a study in color relations, or perhaps a meditation on light. Yet something more spatial is at work. Albers introduces a subtle illusion of perspective. He does not simply arrange concentric squares; he displaces them, weights them, and imparts orientation. Once the language of drawing enters the eye—diagonals, recession, vanishing points—the image resists being confined to flatness.
You begin to read it architecturally.
Because the vanishing point sits so low—almost at eye level—the space does not feel shallow. It feels elongated, imbued with a sense of height. It becomes a polychrome chamber, offering just enough depth to invite the body imaginatively inward.
There is a simple way to test this: turn the image upside down. In an instant, the grounded interior gives way. What had seemed inhospitable becomes aerodynamic; instead of entering the space, you feel yourself drawn through it.
That shift reveals something essential: this is not only painting. It is a construction of space.
Historically, color and form have often been set against one another—Venetian colore against Florentine disegno. In Albers, however, they do not compete. They arrive as equals. And that is precisely what makes his work so resonant for architecture: it occupies the fertile threshold where chromatic intensity and formal order become inseparable.
So the question for me becomes: what happens if that proposition is taken seriously and carried further?
If Albers is testing color interaction on a flat surface, can that same logic be extended into a built, inhabitable space? What, in the end, is the true common ground between painting and architecture? And can pictorial strategies be translated into spatial ones without losing either their subtlety or their force?
In painting, pictorial space is always an illusion—an optical fiction of depth and volume. The canvas remains flat; every color occupies the same literal plane. And yet, through calibrated contrast and precise juxtaposition, the painter exceeds that condition.
Architecture, by contrast, begins in the real. It is not an illusion of mass and void, light and shadow, but their physical presence—something measured by the body as much as by the eye.
So where, exactly, does color reside within that reality?
What occurs when illusion is introduced into a condition that is already materially present?
Le Corbusier describes architecture as a kind of "game" played through light, especially across the illuminated wall. If we take that proposition seriously, then color becomes more than a surface treatment. It becomes another register of light and shadow—another means by which space is composed, inflected, and made perceptible.
Blue recedes. Red advances. These are not merely aesthetic observations; they actively recalibrate our sense of volume, depth, and atmosphere. The object itself does not change, but our apprehension of it does. Space is re-formed in perception.
Color, then, does not simply adorn form. It alters it.
Which is to say that spatial logic and chromatic logic cannot finally be prised apart. Each depends on the other.
And this is where architecture departs most decisively from painting.
In painting, colors sit side by side on a single surface. Their interaction is immediate, but bounded.
In architecture, that condition no longer holds. Colors operate across depth. They occupy different planes, confront one another across distance, turn corners, gather at edges, and establish alignments—or dissonances—along the diagonal.
What emerges is a level of complexity that the canvas cannot fully generate.
For that reason, the interaction of color in architecture is not simply an extension of painting. It is denser, more spatially charged, and potentially far more dynamic.
Then comes Jenifer Jenkins!

You inspire me.
Do you have a video talking about the hormonal changes you’ve experienced throughout the years? I’ve turned 32 and have noticed so many changes in my cycle, cravings, etc. The cravings before my period are absurd!! I was also diagnosed with PMDD 😢
Splenda causes cancer in studies with rats. There are many resources on this. You’re so passionate about cooking with nontoxic cookware but you’re literally ingesting poison intentionally?
There are definitely legitimate excuses when people don't take care of themselves physically and psychologically. It's called mental illness or mental condition or just not being in the right frame of mind.
I also think everything tastes better with cilantro
Thank you so much you inspire me .i got off track and this will really help me thank you ❤

Losing weight is mostly what and how much we eat. I am 70, 5'8" tall. I recently lost 15 pounds from March 10 to today, May 17th, by eating in a daily calorie deficit, clean eating, mostly OMAD and 45 minute walk a day. I went from 147 to 132 as of today. Calorie deficit is the key.
Not all calories are equal. You need to eat whole foods people.
Just tried the rice paper/hamburger recipe. LOVE! Thanks so much Jenifer!
1500 cals? You're undereating.
52 is nothing…wait until you hit 68.
You are wrong
You are absolutely stunning! /Molly from Sweden. 💙💙💛💛💙💙
Keto bread = processed food junk
Processed food = the low carb tortilla
Eat the egg yolks !
I won’t lose weight unless it’s 1,200 or less a day. Then if I eat say 1,800, I’ll just gain it back. So I feel like I’m in a constant state of starvation. If I drink any amount of alcohol, it’s even worse.
Thank you. I love your recipes. I eat in a calorie deficit almost every day. I track everything. For anyone needing some motivation, the trick is knowing how much your calorie deficit is and not going too low. I was extremely large when I started, like MASSIVE. My dietician, believe it or not, put me on a 1200 calorie day. I lost weight but not as much as you would think, I also got the worst heartburn of my life, was genuinely not well and started to have high blood sugar which I had never had. I also had an upset tummy. After a couple of months my doctor told me I wasn't eating enough for my size. My calorie deficit was a lot higher than 1200. Once we worked out my number, I did not go over that number, and as I lost weight, we reduced that number but sensibly. If I ever did go over one day, the next day I would eat even lower, or over the next couple of days would keep it really low to play catch up. Also if I did want a piece of cheesecake, I would have it, but that may have meant having vegetables or a very low cal meal or broth for dinner. I did eat what I wanted to, but just stayed smart. I lost more weight eating more, than I did eating less. I lost 15kg in three weeks when I initially upped my intake to match my size. Now that obviously slowed down, but calorie deficit works, you just need to know your number. I'm down 42kg. And also it gets easier and easier, and you rarely want to go over your deficit because the food noise stops (naturally) and because you start to recognise when you are actually full. 🙂
I'd highly recommend a food scale for calorie tracking. Because unless you're eating a whole pack of something you won't really know the calories
Im 51. I have hyperthyroidism also. I was told from my dr to watch carbs. I eat healthy, I work out daily. But my weight is not where I want to be at.
25 lb silicone
You are an inspiration… I have hashimotos…weightloss is more difficult. You're showing me it's possible.
If you lifted heavy weights you would be able to eat more than 1500 and look ripped
52!!!??? What. Nob nob dont belive it
