Healthy Ketogenic Diet and Intermittent Fasting:

In this video, we’re going to talk about my opinion of Noom. Noom is a weight loss app.

On Noom’s website, they describe themselves as an anti-diet habit and behavior program. No food is off-limits. Noom primarily focuses on calories, which promotes the idea that if you eat fewer calories, you will lose weight.

The goal is to get you to track your calories with the hopes that you will become more aware of what you’re eating and how many calories you’re getting each day.

Eating less junk food and fewer calories will definitely be a factor in weight loss. However, there are a few big problems with Noom. Take a look.

1. The first time, it may work. However, it’ll start to work less and less over time.

2. Low-calorie diets slow your metabolism!

3. Dieting like this is not compatible with a long-term healthy lifestyle.

4. Noom assumes all calories are treated the same by the body (they aren’t!).

5. Aging slows your metabolism further—Noom doesn’t account for this.

6. They allow snacking, which causes insulin resistance and weight gain

The ketogenic diet is a far better way to lose weight. You don’t feel hungry, you don’t have to count your calories, and you burn fat fast. Check out my channel to learn more about keto and intermittent fasting.

  1. I tried ketovore for 3 months it did NOTHING absolutely NOTHING!! I also tried intermittent fasting also did NOTHING!!! Someone needs to talk ABOUT menopausal women with high cortisol due to stress, because my take is ALL these systems DO NOT WORK for EVERYONE! especially if you are menopausal and have high stress ok?? I am frustrated and fed up with all these opinions generalising and offering random METHODS that may be useful to some women but NOT TO ALL.

  2. I was skeptical about noom but I lost 6 pounds in one week following a plan. Now, with that said I knew eating vegetables were better for me than big macs before and didn't have to pay the price they charge. I will say this. I have a friend who lost 75 pounds counting calories and that is the way to go.

  3. You can still do keto and IF on Noom. They suggest different options like IF and incorporate the motivational tools. You can customise your macros and filter your food preferences like gluten free, vegan, dairy free.. They don’t force you to eat three meals and two snacks. This tool may benefit people to reframe their thoughts around food and live a healthier lifestyle overall. It does have flaws but is a great starting point.

  4. So far…. I can only maintain my weight if I track. So I must track forever. I am also on metformin to help my insulin and am guided outside noom by my pcp

  5. Noom works – it addresses the the hardest part of any weightloss programme, the mind. It gets you to form 3 simple habits everyday that cause the user to be alot more conscious of their calorie intake during the day. I lost 30 pounds of the programme and have managed to maintain my weight.

  6. I have decided to use Noom until it expires (I canceled auto renewal). I track by saying I skipped breakfast and lunch. I do two small meals late afternoon/early evening. I eat the foods I like (salmon, avocados, eggs, chicken, red meat, dark greens, berries, full fat diary). I average around 1800. So my eating window is 4 hours. The app is paid for so I am forced to use it and I love giving their AI support bot, Noomi, a hard time. I know there are free apps but I am one of those people who needs to pay for something to use it. 😢 I eat lower carb (but not as low as a keto diet) and don’t buy a single keto product. I just eat clean: nothing out of a box.

Schwachsinn!
