  1. It is VERY HARD to take advice from a forty something MAN. He doesn’t get it. It just happens. It’s fine annoying being told to cut back on food and alcohol and exercise more.

  2. A thirty something year old man giving me advise about menopause. Thinks it is easy lol mate we cant make non existant hormones to work FOR is in menopause 😅😅😅

  3. The only health insurance is diet AND exercise.
AT AGE FIVE AND AT AGE SIXTY FIVE; when I ate more calories than I needed to maintain my weight, I gained weight; when I ate less calories than I needed to maintain my weight, I lost weight; when I ate adequate calories to maintain my weight, my weight stayed the same.
I started exercising at age two; never stopped. Started taking supplements at age 20; never stopped.
Never had a problem sleeping; never had a hot flash.
The standard American diet causes standard American diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, obesity, impotence, acne, asthma, allergies, digestive disorders. It remains unnatural, unnecessary and unhealthy to consume nonhuman flesh, byproducts and secretions.
Why are human beings the only species who never wean? It is natural for a human being to be lactose intolerant. Mother cows produce milk for their babies' health and growth…and to gain four hundred pounds. If human beings are stealing babies' milk, then what are the babies drinking? Why do humans consume cow's milk? Why not zebra's milk or giraffe's milk?
The largest, strongest animals in the world are herbivores… oxen, elephants, rhinos, gorillas.

  4. In my 30s and 40s I weighed 136 at the most and had the metabolism of a hummingbird. I reached 160 earlier this year and am now down to 152. I've been front loading my breakfast with a lot of lean protein…at least 30 grams…and some fiber from a serving of veggies and fruit…very little carbs or none at all. I have energy all day now without the blood sugar jump and crash. I drink a cup of coffee with half and half and a teaspoon of sugar before I eat breakfast and sometimes a second small cup in work. I still enjoy a slice of bread, pasta, or rice but have it with lunch or dinner. Not drinking alcohol was easy for me as my body can't metabolize wine and cocktails like it used to. I'll treat myself to a bottle of beer once in a while or a cocktail on a special occasion. I rarely drink sugar soda. Water and flavored seltzer water or sometimes a Bloom soda. For dessert I try to keep it 100 calories or less, like an Outshine creamy coconut bar, fruit and dark chocolate, or I'll make a chocolate protein "mousse" using cottage cheese and chocolate protein powder. Chips and certain crackers are an occasional treat. I do a 40-minute walk through my office park during my lunch hour at work and lift weights/strength train three times a week. Once dinner/dessert is consumed I don't eat anything else until breakfast the following morning. I don't believe in banning any food for life…but I focus on meal prep with whole foods/ingredients that give me at least 30 grams of protein per serving. I also use an estrogen/progesterone cream from ByWinona but honestly, not sure if that makes a huge difference.

  5. I started eating one cup of pressure cooked beans everyday and walking 30 minutes a day rain or shine has also helped stabilized my appetite and kept my weight down.

  6. It’s so troubling when my overall caloric intake is below what is considered safe and I’m still gaining. Choosing nutrition over weight health is not a great choice.

  7. alcohol isn't about the calories – its SO DAMAGING for the nervous system and killing cells.. the body will force down fatty plaque to repair cells.. but it only causes fatty liver and asclerosis

  8. i lost weight easily throughout peri-menopause.. but as soon as i hit 50 – i gained cortisol fat!! Too much fasting in 30's & 40's. Can't fast now.. starting to eat 3x a day, when i can.

  9. What do you tell a 54 woman who has Hashimoto’s, eats 135g of protein a day, lifts weights 4 times a week, and sleeps 7-7:30 hours a night, rarely drink alcohol, and still cannot lose the fat and weight? I’ve cut out sugar, I don’t eat junk food, and I have paid thousands of dollars to people to help me and I am getting absolutely nowhere. I’m frustrated, tired of wasting money and about ready to just give up.

  10. RidiculousI gained 50 pounds during menopause. And i've only been able to lose twenty five of that , I still have about 25 more to go taking me 10 years to lose 25 pounds.Ridiculous , that's what's working out watching what I eat and intermittent fasting🎉

  11. Dr Axe! Would you please have a do a video with Drs Sean Baker, Anthony Chaffee, Kiltz or Ken Barry on as guests to discuss the carnivore diet? I think it’s only fair given your statements. Let us have all the information!
