  1. Restricting calories vs fasting. Sounds the same to me = don't eat. It's always "'don't eat." I ruined my metabolism doing keto/IF after reaching goal weight (lost 10 lbs). Then started gaining weight, and gaining weight. IF does nothing now. Have found hundreds of others in the same boat during my search for answers. Did not knowingly reduce calories in my 2 meals a day but I suppose it's possible. I'm bigger now than I've been all my life. Recently Berg calculator told me to eat 1300 calories to lose weight. A holistic practitioner told me to eat 1200 calories to lose weight. Feel betrayed by the "experts". Now I'm making a point to EAT MORE to fix my metabolism and so far, though hasn't been for very long, appears to be working (-3 lbs). Btw, AI agrees carbs cause insulin resistance, however it also says, " Certain types of fats, particularly saturated and trans fats, have been linked to increased insulin resistance." The high-carb people claim it's the fat. Who to believe.

  2. Int fast and more protein has made it harder for me to get enough calories. I've been getting 900 / day approx. I heard 1200 was low. Oh boy. I've started adding a bit more fat. I fasted 14 days end of Feb to beg if March. Then fluctuate at 4 to 6 hr eating window. I cannot get into ketosis now. Loosing painfully slow. Well hydrated during fast. Gained ,15 lbs in two days. A few weeks later I still only have about ,5 lbs overall fat loss….. For a month with 14 days fasting.. I'm very discouraged and today, depressed. I've run out of skills. I'm experienced. But this time is agonizing. 😂😂 I'm ready to think of extended fasting again. Only time I can get keto strips to change color. Not even low cal carnivore will put me in keto. I'm soooo bummed… Any one out there???? Help

  3. I think básic training was a great example of the biggest loser thing, we were eating about 3000-3500 calories a day and everyone was losing weight if they were actually doing what they were told but after those who stopped working out as hard or didn’t switch to IF like I did gained the weight back very quickly

  4. I have a question about fasting and exercise. I've been following OMAD for about five months, combining it with intense daily exercise. However, I didn't lose much weight and felt fatigued, likely due to overeating during my one meal.

Last week, I tried a 120-hour fast and experienced significant weight loss without much difficulty, likely because I'm accustomed to fasting. I’m considering incorporating a regular fasting schedule into my lifestyle—fasting from Friday night after dinner until Tuesday evening, totaling about 96 hours, and doing OMAD on the other days.

I should mention that I'm also following a keto diet and ensuring I consume sufficient calories and essential nutrients.

    My concerns are:

Could a 96-hour weekly fast slow down my metabolism?
Is a 72-hour fast (eating on Monday evening) safer for maintaining metabolism while promoting weight loss?
Would intense exercise once a week be enough to boost my metabolism?
    Thank you for your guidance!

  5. All honor and respect to Dr. Ekberg and others like him who are persistent in their mission to teach us and open our eyes.
I respect famous actors, singers and sports players, but well-meaning scientists like this gentleman are real VIPs for the people and deserve much more attention in the future. Education is everything.

  6. Dr Ekberg what do you think about your hypothalamus also trying to dictate your sleep as well, when it wants you to go back to "its normal weight". Do you think you sleep less when fasting, cutting carbs sugar etc because your hypothalamus is a narcissist and doesnt want you to sleep and burn fat??

  7. Is it working for bodybuilders who need to reach under 5% body fat? Lot of my friends and I reach plateau around 8-9% bodyfat as natural bodybuilders.

What is the way to break thoose plateau to reach 5-8% bodyfat?

  8. I began a no turning back resolve for optimal health nearly 4 years ago and was having some hit and miss success but since stumbling upon this Chanel a couple of months ago and doing my best to apply the teaching I have had my success improving greatly, I have to say I am so grateful for Sten and his teaching!!
