  1. Been struggling for so long, went low carb when I got T2D diagnosis at 41 but the IR just keeps getting worse and they keep putting me on more meds which I take because I can't seem to control it though diet/exercise. My pancreas couldn't keep up and seems to have given up. Against all what I believed that T2D should not take insulin, I'm on a long-acting daily injection just to get my readings out of the long term 300-400 range because it's been affecting other health issues. I'm just disappointed that cutting carbs even I.F. wasn't enough and they seem more inclined to put me on meds than helping with the root of the problem… Which honestly I'm not sure of as low carb didn't help for the past 12 yrs. I'm drastically low carb now but with the meds I don't know if I could get there on my own now.

  2. I fast, I don't eat many carbs or processed foods. Have been living on a "diabetic" based diet for 30 years… and suddenly I'm now insulin resistent.
I've tried all this stuff and gotten no where. Frustration.

  3. Scientists have questioned, tested, and entirely dismantled the idea of "absolute zero" insulin production in long-term Type 1 diabetes. The definitive proof came from large-scale, long-duration studies—most famously the Joslin Medalist Study, which analyzed individuals who had lived with childhood-onset T1D for 50 years or longer. Using new, ultra-sensitive laboratory assays to measure C-peptide (a reliable byproduct tracking exactly how much natural insulin the pancreas makes), researchers discovered something stunning: Up to one-third to nearly two-thirds of people with long-standing Type 1 diabetes—including those diagnosed in childhood—still actively manufacture measurable, trace amounts of their own insulin decades later. When scientists examined the post-mortem pancreas tissue of these individuals, they did not find an empty void. Instead, they found tiny pockets of surviving, living beta cells.

  4. I fast 16-18 hours, been carnivore for a year, walk 10-15 k steps a day, strength train 4x a week and I still am insulin resistant. I also take 1200 mg berberine, drink acv twice a day and nothing. I'm just about to give up. I don't think keto or carnivore works for some people. I am living proof. At some point, I’m just going to have to accept that I will never lose weight ever and most likely I'll be diabetic down the road. Oh, forgot that I tried ozempic for 4 months and did not lose an ounce. Optimized my thyroid and my iron too. Did not lose an ounce either 🤷‍♀️

  5. I never felt energy or mental clarity on keto until I increased electrolytes a TON. And I mean more than double what commercial electrolyte servings are.

Also added exogenous ketones for 2 months which helped a LOT with energy and clarity.

Now I feel fine if I keep protein moderate, fat high, and fast at least 24 hours once or twice per week. Longer fasts still require MCT oil, or I get hungry and tired.

So, I’m still healing insulin resistance and other issues.😊

  6. Just can't get my energy back even though I dropped my levels from 223 to 93 in three weeks on Metformin and dietary adjustments. It's now 6 weeks and I'm still feeling drained. .

  7. Well I’m below 20g carbs daily and my insulin has quadrupled in a year. This advice doesn’t help everyone. My stress is causing mine and no matter what exercise or diet you follow it won’t help

  8. It took me a while to realize that I had high insulin on ozempic and then on Monjaro im watching my carbs eating Greek yogurt egg and 2 strips turkey bacon and spring water. I felt horrible feeling better now
