You and I are going to drink a lot of coffee together. Like, borderline dangerous amounts of coffee.
So, first things first. Pour yourself a mug and I’ll introduce myself real quick.
My name’s Jordan — but everyone calls me “J” — and I’m a 27th degree black belt in chugging coffee.
I’m also strength & nutrition coach, I hold several powerlifting world records, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have my writing featured in a variety of outlets like CNN, the Huffington Post, and Schwarzenegger.com.
But listen.
This channel isn’t for fame, publicity, cash, props, fist bumps, likes, pings, pows or whatever else there is.
It’s a place where you and I can chat.
I’ll never sugar coat, lie, or beat around the bush. I’ll tell you everything exactly as I see it. Some stuff you might like. Others you might not.
And that’s totally cool.
Either way, my goal here is to create a discussion. A place where you and I can get together, exchange ideas, and motivate each other to be better every day.
Like I said, we’re gonna drink a lot of coffee together — borderline dangerous amounts — but I’m excited. Because there aren’t too many online communities in which the sole purpose is to inspire and motivate one another.
And that’s exactly what you and I are going to do here.
To your success,
-J

Hi can you enable hindi language
The cussing was HILARIOUS 😂
7:33 I also found out that when I’m hungry l crave a large amount of sweets like a big piece of cake but when I eat a real meal with protein and veggies sometimes I stop craving it or I would eat a small portion and get satisfied
Simplify your eating. I'm the type of person that has no problem eating th same thing all the time if I enjoy it. When you have tons of variability in your core diet weight management will always be tough.
Keep the core diet simple and supplement that with "exotic" foods
1800 kcal 😮 oh my god… i would be so hungry
This video came to me on my feed just at the right time
I’m struggling with maintaining my weight loss and felt a failure for gaining 5pounds
Great video🎉you should have a million subs
Really important to have faith in the process and stay consistent. The scale is pretty unhelpful. I’ve derailed so many diets because of a 2 lb gain that was due to food, water or needing a bowel movement.
Thank you so much for this video, I definitely needed to hear this. I've been struggling with binge eating my entire life and I've been working on my relationship with food for about 5 yrs now. I've lost 90lbs since I've started my journey but I still have issues with emotional eating. I've managed to keep my weight fluctuations within a 5lb range over this past year and I've felt sooo guilty every time the scale goes up! But I've been watching your videos lately and slowly learning that in hindsight, a 5lb fluctuation is actually amazing! I know as long as I keep working on my binge eating and don't give up I'll be ok 😊
Thank you so much for this video! I always felt that there was something wrong with me occasionally gaining weight and then needing to lower cals to get the weight off. ❤❤
I just found your channel and your answer to the question about your insecurities was so touching! My boyfriend started balding pretty young as well, and he absolutely struggles that. I like to joke with him that the universe had to give him at least one struggle, or he would be too powerful 😂 Even your insecurities shape who you are, and I wonder if you have the humility that someone who hasn’t struggled with similar things wouldn’t have!
Its funny cos in asia like malaysia where i come from.. there are so many short guys it is not even a topic of discussion. Cos there are so many short girls too. If you hvnt brought it up we wouldnt hv known abt your insecurities. Even the most beautiful people are insecure abt their body. For me yes ive been insecure abt my body my whole life and now im learning to be comfortable and proud that i can do things ppl my age cant. And that i can lose the weight slowly but surely.
First of all, thank you so much for creating this content… I am learning so much and sharing it with all my friends!
Quick question, how many calories would you reintroduce after a 7 days water only fast? I was in a slight deficit before the fast at 1800…Would you do a whole week at 900?
Thank you so much in advance
Omg the baby is sooo cute 🥺❤️❤️
Omg the baby is sooo cute 🥺❤️❤️
i’ve had really good experiences with short kings. the tall guy thing wears off so quickly especially once u do fall for a short king (no pun intended).
Did I miss something because I didn't actually ever hear HOW to maintain weight once lost, as in whether or not to stay with the same calories/protein/fiber as you did during the cut or what percentage to increase those by???
My test is broccoli. I love it, so, when I feel bored or hungry, I ask myself if broccoli will do😂 often I want chips instead, so it's not hungry:)
Could you change your calories for every 5lbs you drop? Like my temporary goal is 5lbs less than what I weight now and once I hit that goal I recalculate my calories for a goal that’s 5lbs less than my new current weight
First thing first, I'm a new subscriber and I love your videos!
And secondly, as a woman, if you ask me, those women in your past who passed on you because of your height, well its their loss if you ask me and no its not because you are successful now. I don't know you personally but I love your personality and your sense of humour and you seem like a good kind hearted person, husband and father and that trumps anything more in this life than anything else. Your wife is lucky and blessed to have you!
I just want to say THANK YOU a hundred times!! The bit that talks about weight fluctuations, i needed to hear that so bad right now. I have lost 80 lbs in the past two and a half years, and I'm still trying to lose 50 more. During this whole journey and especially right now i ve struggled with discouragement over the scale fluctuations.
8:20 we use this test on our 3yo and 5yo daughters, if they claim to be hungry, we offer fresh/raw whole fruits/veggies that they would eat if truly hungry, and often times the answer is "no" when they initially said "I'm hungry…may I have some chips/cookie/cake/candy/[whatever hyper-palatable food]"
Thank you, Jordan. Thank you so much for what you do. I really resonated with the advice you gave about the first cut. I REALLY needed to hear that. I am so dang grateful for your content. You’re awesome, brother.
I live in Australia, I’m 54 yrs old and I have struggled with weight Loss.
You are the first person who has ever explained in detail what I need to do, and it’s working.
I struggle from a mental hurdle and have often given up.
I am more in control than ever.
Thankyou.
I needed this. Thank you for helping me to get into a better headspace about food and weight loss. You're a great human ❤👏🏼
My brain moment I saw the baby: Old Abe & Neener McNeenerton!
Loved your video. Lost 65 lbs and kept it off a year.Struggling to lose 5 and your video really helped!
Thank you
Funny thing is: Napoleon was average height for his time but the British propaganda showed him as small and so the perception stuck.
I just discovered your videos and I must say, I’m impressed. Not that others don’t have great information and insights but I really understand what you’re saying. Thanks for your knowledge and explanations. I really like how you explain the why behind the what, kudos! 🎉
Love all your advice
Really appreciated the explanation between yoyo dieting and maintenance…. Actually made me realize that I am just at the higher end of my maintenance. Time to do a cut
I think most people (myself included) think eating in a calorie deficit as something you do for a period of time then you’re done. So if you can race to the finish and get to your goal weight you can relax and go back to eating how you used to eat, but maybe in smaller portions. I’ve been listening to your podcasts and it has REALLY helped me with having foods in my pantry that I used to not be comfortable with being in my home and it has helped to shift my mindset about how to eat in a calorie deficit and at maintenance. I appreciate you saying that this is a lifelong thing and we are always white belts.
Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your insecurities. I’ve always operated under the premise that you don’t comment on anything that is out of a person’s control (e.g. height, shape, skin, any visible or audible health issues, etc.). Whenever I hear stuff like what you described about being told you appear tiny in person always blows my mind. Like you said, she most likely didn’t mean it in a negative way, she just didn’t filter herself or think about what her words were conveying, but it still kind of blows my mind.
Awesome video!!
thank you jordan! this really helped me finally internalizing what i thought, but was insecure about – it IS a lifetime journey. great content! lots of greets 😀
I love that you are promoting healthy weight loss by reinforcing that no food is off limits. I have lost weight slowly, but consistently by tracking/counting calories, but NOT restricting any food. If I want the pizza, I eat the fucking pizza. But, I usually don't since I know I CAN eat it. It was my game changer from years of yo-yo dieting.
I know you’ve already picked the winners but I wanted to comment anyway 😂 I really appreciate your moderate positions on dieting and fitness. I actually love your system for maintaining to allow life to just happen. I’m a long way out of long term maintenance but it’s nice to see a plan that doesn’t argue that any gaining means you haven’t found your right weight yet. And I love how you encourage life even in a deficit. I’m just getting past four months of exploring the Intuitive Eating movement and I just can’t get on board with all their arguments or the IG influencers that pretend all the eat is ice cream and donuts all the time to maintain a smaller body.
Your daughters cheeks are just scrumptious looking!! 😂 She’s adorable!! Had to comment this before I even finished the video lol
Slow and steady for me! Making small sustainable changes and pushing myself out of my comfort zone with the discovery of a new sport. I am not quite at the maintenance stage yet, but I allow myself a maintenance week if life gets crazy….like when your accelerator won’t release and you drive through your garage door. 🙄
Your videos and podcasts are a daily part of my routine! Thanks for keeping it simple.
I boredom eat apples 😂
