Hi! My name is Susanne. I am a Christian mom of 3 over 50. Are you struggling to lose weight and feel fit and youthful like you once were? Me too!

My story:
Until I was about 45 years old maintaining my weight was relatively easy. For the past 6 years no matter what I tried I was not able to lose more than a couple of pounds and then I would ultimately gain them back. I felt very frustrated and hopeless.

Back in December of 2023 my weight loss game was changed when I started learning more about insulin resistance and other obstacles that I believe were making it very difficult for me to lose any weight over 50. I created this channel to help other women lose weight by sharing my experiences. I hope you’ll join me in striving to feel better at 50 than you ever have.

To date, I have lost 45 pounds in the last year and a half, the first 10 I lost in the first month and the last 10 in 3 weeks. My goal is to lose 50 lbs total which would put me at 125 pounds at 5’2″. Are you ready to lose the next 10 pounds?

Best of luck!

  1. I’m 4’11 and to be honest always was thin. But 50 happened and now almost 60 I’m 130 lbs. 😮I’ve had some mobility issues that aren’t going away so the walking doesn’t work for me. It’s time for me to attack my diet. Change how I exercise meaning do what I can stop complaining about what I can’t. Thanks for your video.

  2. How many calories a day do you eat? I have never been able to eat the number of calories ANY calculator has come up with!!!! I am 66 years old and am eating average of 1400 calories a day and can't get the scale to move any lower!!!! I have always read if you go down to 1000 or lower, you are not getting enough nutrition for your body……thank you

  3. The belly fat at this stage is so stubborn and it has nothing to do with willpower! What most women don't realize is that even doing all five of these things cortisol can still be quietly sabotaging results behind the scenes. Stress and sleep are the hidden variables that make everything else either work or not work. So proud of your results and thank you for sharing this journey!

  4. I am a yearlong failure in eating habits. I overeate sweets my whole life, never had any control and now in menopause I don't have the chance to beat it. It's a mental or emotional problem. When there are some celebrations, like kids birthdays and there are cakes and chocolates in the house, I stuff myself until I hate myself

  5. Hi, I am exactly like that and did same thing, I lost 30 pounds and now I can't loose anymore doing same thing, so I will go and evaluate as you say in this video. I can only say that since I do low carb diet and keto, I don't have intestine pain and no logner weird skin allergies and my minor scalp psoriaris is under control. I sleep better, have more energy, feel beautiful…no more anemia

  6. You definitely lost me in what you said that you have no self-control because we are all supposed to have self-control as the Bible teaches us

  7. I went fully carnivore, increased my calories dramatically and lost the weight and my body had amazing recomposition. My calorie intake is about 2000 give or take a day. I cannot imagine eating 1000-1200 calories, that would be starving for me. Be careful of long term effects on cortisol, etc. I'm 58, 5'1" and about 135.

  8. I am 5 ft 1 and started my weightloss 5 weeks ago. Down 10 lbs, I am losing 2 lbs avage per week, eating 1200-1400 calorie range Moderate carb. Thank you for saying there may be a point where I need to go below the 1200 cal. minimum that all tracker apps suggest. Looking forward to learning more of what is working for you.

  9. 1) low carb
    2) caloric deficit
    3) have a plan and stick to it with weight loss and exercise
    4) build consistency; progress not perfection with foods and exercise
    5) stop the on again/off again relationship with weight loss; only look forward and don’t return back to old habits

  10. It's menopause belly. It's a real thing. No waist anymore. Like a TURTLE with a shell on your belly. When you live with others then keeping nothing in your house that is unhealthy doesn't work. Period. But glad you found what works for you.

  11. A GLP-1 did it. I’ve worked out all my life and when I saw the weight was piling on. On a microdose and loving it. Still work out but needed that kick to stop the food noise.

  12. Take vitamin b. I'm so glad I'm seeing this video I just started watching it. From age 50 to age 53 I'm almost 53 and I'll be menopause 2 weeks after my birthday, I also gained weight and I keep losing and gaining the same small amount. But as far as the tiredness I started taking vitamin b two days ago and I feel fantastic. Went to the gym this morning. I do go but I had kind of gotten out of the habit just low on energy.

  13. Love your video so much! Could you share your email address with me so that I can send an email to you with details for our campaign for weight loss theme? Looking forward to your reply! 😉

  14. ❤great video! People like to waste time and effort on searching for the perfect plan, the perfect pill/supplement, the perfect food…to make this easier. Nope. It’s hard, it’s work, it’s worth it. It comes down to only 2 things: tracking calories and finding a plan that works for you, that you can be consistent and sustain the plan for your lifetime. This is what I’ve done, and I’ve lost 20#, and I’m 58❤

  15. yeah i am on a weight loss journey im trying to loose 25 pounds im5'4 my height and im 53 years old right now i weigh 160 .your doing good you look good keep doing what your doing it works for you.i have stopped eating processed food .i like to drink soda but i have cut back on how much i drink . people like to drink coffee .i like to drink soda . i do try to watch what i eat and not eat big plate of food just a normal amount .have a great day 😊❤

  16. Being only 4'11", I know I need to lower my calories, it's just not that easy with some of the things I have, bc I make my own Greek yogurt, whipped cream (which is low in sugar than store bought), jello with beef gelatin & equal ratio of natural juice & water & I only have 2 squares/day, & I've been making my own probiotic sodas & natural ginger ale, made with real ginger & there's no sugar or very low sugar in those bc it's been fermented. I already do low carb (well, that probably can improve). I do a yogurt or cottage bowl (which has some chia seed jam – no sugar added, sliced strawberries & some granola. The yogurt bowl, I will add 1/2 scoop of protein powder.) I went from having a cup to 1/2 cup of cottage cheese or yogurt. I went from doing 2 eggs with a pinch of shredded cheddar cheese, with a sausage patty. Now I've been doing the 1 egg with 1/4 cup of egg whites, and still having the cheese & sausage patty. I stop eating when I start to feel full, even though it's just 2 more bites. I don't get hungry between meals & I don't crave sweets. If I do have soda or energy drink or cocktail, I cut it will club soda or flavored seltzer water. So, I don't know what's going on. I do know I know I need to get back to my walks & workouts, but it's been so hard since gaining back almost 40 lbs.
I always look forward to your videos. Thanks again for sharing.

  17. Once again another great video, had to hype you up and was excited for bonus points for you. I pray that your views/watch number rise -you deserve the best. Thank you for what you do❤
