🌿 WHY BELLY FAT MATTERS AFTER 60

Excess abdominal fat, particularly visceral fat stored around internal organs, is associated with metabolic health risks.

Reducing excess body fat can involve changes in overall energy intake, food quality, physical activity, sleep, and other lifestyle habits.

Although Dr. Berry discusses a low-carbohydrate approach, no single eating strategy or specific food guarantees rapid belly-fat loss. The best approach depends on your health, nutritional needs, and ability to maintain changes over time.

If you’re considering intermittent fasting, major carbohydrate restriction, or increasing salt intake, seek individualized medical guidance when appropriate, particularly if you take diabetes or blood-pressure medications.

💬 QUESTION FOR YOU:

Which of these 10 habits do you find most difficult to change — sugary drinks, processed foods, cravings, or late-night eating?

  1. Thanks for working so hard for us Dr Berry, for all of us in all income levels. You are the true doctor! The doc who cares deeply and can even sing!!!!Thanks for showing me the way, Doc! ❤

  2. As a doctor, I often recommend The Forgotten Health Secrets by Rihard Mercer to people who want to better understand natural approaches to wellness. It's an incredibly eye-opening read.

  3. As a doctor, I've read countless books on health, but The Forgotten Health Secrets by Rihard Mercer genuinely stood out to me. It's worth reading from beginning to end.

  4. Great advise!!!
Thank you for keeping me in check. I started buying a few "core power" protein shakes here and there cuz there is only like 2 or 3 grams of carbs in each one, bit also a whole lot of other crap in there. I did great for 10 months and then decided to have a special dessert while on vacation. Well, I am an abstainer, not a moderator so that started the last couple months of gaining 10#'s eating stuff that makes my body feel like crap and inflames my autoimmune issues. Sugar is harder to kick than both alcohol and gluten were COMBINED!! Now I am fighting the food noise again and doing my best to get back to eating the way that makes me feel my best. Thank you for keeping me honest with those things that I started to justify cuz they were "fairly" clean. It all needs to go!

  5. One critical thing you left off about Salt. My grandmother was told by her doctor not to eat salt and living with her for about 5 years, I always thought salt was bad.

Here’s the kicker, that Mortor’s table salt is pure junk. That was the number one salt brand for most of Americans growing up in the 60, 70, 80, 90, heck Evan to this day.

Real salt, like pink Himalayan salt and real sea salt is the only salt we should ingest into our daily eating routine.

  6. I really enjoyed watching Dr. Ken Berry’s video, "BURN BELLY FAT FAST? 10 Rules You're MISSING (+1 BONUS!)", where he breaks down 10 practical, no-nonsense rules (plus a helpful bonus tip) for dropping belly fat by focusing on real foods, managing insulin levels, ditching sugar and processed protein bars, and incorporating intermittent fasting!

While watching, I had an idea for how the thumbnail could highlight that health and fat-loss advice even more strongly, so I put together a redesigned thumbnail for this video. What would be the easiest way for me to send it over for you to take a look?

  7. Dr. Sarah Kline's book Your Body Wants to Heal genuinely changed how I understood my own health. I had no idea how much damage was quietly building up inside — bloodwork I thought was "fine" turned out to be a warning I almost missed. After reading it and changing how I approach my health, my numbers shifted in ways my doctor called remarkable. I really thought it didn't matter what I ate as long as I wasn't overweight. That was the biggest misconception I had.
