Why Fasting for Women Is DIFFERENT & How To Do It Properly | Dr. Mindy Pelz: https://youtu.be/7c2IU9HCBGw
After going through menopause at the age of 57 I put on tons of weight and the only thing that worked for me was getting back into cardio like 5 Mi of Fast Pace walking on a treadmill or an hour on the StairMaster eating one meal a day two or three days a week
I love Autumn , keep up the great work and thank you for the inspiration!! <3
I teach Pilates love it. I also do Pilates on the Reformer and all the other apparatus.
She lost me when She's crying over 2kg in a week shhhhh it's only 2kgs
Nutrition help?? I loved beachbody containers for 21df, but it doesn't seem to work now that I am over 40. 🙁 I am taking the supplements and collagen you branded.
it is a long talk, can any sum it up ?
3 days of strength training in the gym and 2 days of Pilates at home😂
Im 44 years old and im already in menopause 😞 my doctor didn’t help me. I totally agree with min 20. I found a doctor that specializes in woman hormones but I have to pay out of pocket 😞. I’m now on my third day on hormone replacement therapy, I’m hoping for the best.
Eating can’t be this stressful…. No one thought about food this way before and having to take all these herbs on a constant in order to combat that… something deep is actually causing this deep dis regulation of our food and weight
I’ve tried to be fit my whole life. Stress in life and the food makes it hard
Really appreciated this interview and the opportunity to hear more about this particular program in general. I've been having these same challenges for years and almost nothing ive tried has worked. I DID just finish (and start a second round of) Autumn's 9 Week Control Freak, which has made a huge difference… I've put on a ton of muscle (I've given up on losing weight). Anyway, I've been eyeballing Belle Vitale but wasn't 100% certain it would jive with all of the stuff I've been learning about hormone health on my own; i am impressed by what she had to say. Thank you for having her on!!
So true — fat loss over 40 is a totally different game, especially when hormones and gut health are out of balance.
I work with women who are already eating clean, walking, lifting, and still struggling with stubborn weight — and it’s almost never about willpower. It’s about calming inflammation, stabilizing blood sugar, and rebuilding meals in a way that tells the body it’s safe to let go.
Once that happens, everything changes — without extreme diets or obsessing over numbers.
I’m sorry what’s the 3 things ??
1. Breath work
2? Whole food ?
3? Not to be stressed?
You were having a break down over 5pounds and didn’t want to go out in a swim suit. Crying I’m sorry but don’t actually know what it’s like to put on 20/30 pounds I can not watch this. Sorry but the way she is explaining seems like eating disorder.
1. Today’s society needs to TOO USING THE WORD “LIKE”
2. I don’t know who these ppl on this video are… it they sure take a loooong time to get to the point. I gave up 5minutes into the video & turned it off
3. 5 pounds? Really you couldn’t fit into your STRETCHY work out clothes. C’mon!!!!!
THUMBS DOWN FOR THIS VIDEO!!👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
She’s looking terrible. She needs glucose to create progesterone
PERIMENOPAUSE!!! Why is that difficult to admit. Own it!!!!
The whole video in nutshell: Manage stress+cortisol/Do pilates/ balance blood sugar+Insulin. I question her being a role fitness role model when she cried a week for gaining 5 pounds? There is a problem. Also if she been stressed all her life what happened in that last week that she gained 5 pounds?
Man, this guy is annoying. He's acting more like a woman and she is.
Fact: meditation is all about breath work. So I’m not sure what she meant when she said meditation is not for me but I do a lot of breath work…
My stress levels hit me hard over past 2 years I completed in 3 full distance triathlons Inc ironman Wales 5 weeks after another full .. in-between racing shorter races.. strength training once a week .. got preg with twins .. had a miscarriage I was still training just less intense but still long an every day.. around that time list 2 of my dogs .. I then went into training for a bike challenge called Everesting indoors … I completed that on Xmas eve 17 hours ride.. my sleep started to get bad.. Garmin was saying my days where demanding or stress everyday an I was like what does that know .. well it knew .. I ended up 5 straight night no sleep ..heart palps.. stress levels out of the roof .. just sitting reading a book I felt out of breath … Blood sugars started to be unstable causing hypoglycemia.. doctors didn't help intact my doctor lost my 24 hours wee sample for my cortisol. .. 9 weeks later I'm doing as much as I can to get under control.mits so much better but it's not linear atall ..I walk alot … Breathwork .. stretch..no running an no hard efforts on the bikes
So, the 2 min breathing a day // couple times a day —> really helped with lowering the stress?! And, in your opinion do “solidcore” classes “count” as Pilates as far as your program goes? I’d love to stop paying my weight in gold for every class !!
I am 47, I am struggling with stress, I feel depressed and my motivation to do anything has stopped. I do crossfit 4 times a week, I don't eat too bad, I try to take care of myself however, I always feel tired, drained, mentally fatigued. My doctors says I am fine, so I don't know what else to do.
I took a Pilates course in college (before the masses thought it was cool) and I’m so glad I’m not the only one who points out how classical Pilates via Joseph’s original methodology >>> all this contemporary hybrid BS. Pilates was his answer to stress and rehabilitation during his stint as a POW. It’s the ultimate for overall health, injury prevention, etc.
I graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and 220 hours of Yoga training. Opened my wellness practice in NC. 10 years ago. Created one of first Salt rooms and Infra-red light therapy. I guess I was too early in to the feald of wellness. Not to many people responded to my teachings. Now I sell real estate and I am stressed and my cortisol is up! 😂 I need to do what I know for myself! Thank you for the reminder.
What course did you do to learn about all of that stuff about hormones? The one you mentioned you did for 8 months
Don't fast.. don't eat when not hungry. Go to sleep if tired. Schedule and consistency important times wake sleep. 2 to 3x a week yoga 10 min a day reduces grey matter in a brain 🧠 Focus on small things. Don't listen to anyone but your body, were all in different stages and phases. Too much exercise after 40 not healthy. In home workouts for 8 min all you need a day. Read 10 pages. Walk a hour a day. Make your own food at home. Weight gain will fluctuate… each year so don't worry, different times you will go through highs and lows with winter and summer. Have a cheat day. Get in nature everyday. Take supplements such as redefining we RelaxAll for calm… you can get in grocery Natural grocers…
Remember some are night people find a schedule that works for you. If you love mornings do that get a night job, some folks are not morning people so rest. All of us come from different genetics. Proteins are less as we age… its hard on kidneys. Detox once a month. Drink coffee morning organic and ginger tea tea throughout the day. Stress is usually due to past traumas or blockages in the body and confuses the mind. I teach yoga and its all how it feels not how it looks. The belly stress will go away if you do yoga because it's social community and spending time with others is also key to longevity especially as we age. Money will come and go don't alllow finances to consume your min. Nature is the number one way to reduce stress along with sunlight. We were not meant to work 40 hours a week fyi 😉 Money is the number one reason for stress subconsciously. The more you do the more stress occurs. SLOWER DAYS SLOW 🐌 MORNINGS ELIMINATES STRESS.

TY Shawn for this ! I listened to every podcast the day you started your show ! ❤❤❤ i dont miss any of them. Your amazing !
When I talked to my doctor about my hormones, because of some health issues that I’m going through, he’s response was stop listening to social media , they don’t know what they are talking about .
41:46 i cringe when people call wine “mommy juice”.
Grateful 🙏🏽
Woman can fluctuate up to five pounds every month during their menstrual cycle, due to hormones. It’s normal.
My husband causes my daily trauma and stress…. Cant get rid of him… I know why my cortisole is through the roof… Daily its a battle to keep home with 3 kids and work and a husband that is a great example of a Corporal in the army.. l and expects only the very best…
❤Thank you thank you thank you!❤
Wow! I’m 40 and I’m so grateful for this video! Thank you so much!!❤
Love Autumn C. ❤
As I listen to this, I reflect on all the times I've been gaslighted by my female doctors. I've been feeling terrible, with my body telling me that something is off. I've tried diets, exercise, and fasting, yet I still feel bad, experiencing weight gain, pain, and inflammation. It's challenging to get blood work and hormone level checks done, and I often feel unheard.
I was told that being overweight and suffering is normal and just part of getting older, and that I shouldn't expect any change even when doing all the right things. For the love of God, why do doctors normalize the suffering of women?
I could go on and on about this, but it needs to change. We must educate healthcare professionals so they can better help their patients. I'm grateful that, even after years of struggle, I didn't stop advocating for myself. We know our bodies better, and I appreciate this information. I especially appreciate the empathy shown by men who take the time to understand our struggles.
39 year old, started lifting weights and exercising at age 15. I have spent the majority of my adult life presuing health.I have a 4 year old and 1.5 year old. I was still 25 pounds heavier then before baby #2. I started watching the sunrise and grounding. I stopped skipping breakfast and regained my circadian rhythm. This was a game changer for me.I started loosing weight again. Blue light is toxic and addicting. Non Native EMF is equally as bad. There are so many simple ways to reduce blue light that are worth employing. Nutrition and exercise are only part of our overall wellness. Thanks to Dr. Jack Kruse, his knowledge has been so valuable to me and I highly recommend his work.
Regarding protein can only digest about 30g per main meal. Thats her point there to not over do it. Many women jsut dont eat eniugh of it to build muscle and we do need more as we get older as we dont digest and ayntheiss it as well.
Thank you shawn for supporting womens health and having such a fantastic guest and helping dr mosconi build her platform. Shes doing incredible research.
I knew Shawn was from St. Louis but I didn’t know they went to the same high school! I’m a St. Louisan as well! 👋🏼 Great interview!
