  1. People also need to hear the hard truths. No alcohol and limited amount of carbs. Interval cardio and resistance weights exercises. Stop eating two hours before bed time.

  2. In my case I have been years on Intermittent fasting and noticed that in the perimenopause won‘t help anymore rather eat in a range of 12 Hours as dr. Sims advised and feel better sleep following the sarcadian rythm

  3. Thank you so much for changing this woman’s mindset. I was so depressed and defeated. I’m finally starting to advocate more for myself based off of what you are sharing girl! And the docs are listening. My doc confided in me sharing that they “breeze” through this in medical school. Like admitted this area needs more research. So, thank you for forging ahead and sharing your knowledge with millions! You have been a life changer for me! ❤

  4. What omega 3's is good and magnesium L, vitamin D. What do you recommend? And how much I am 58. I am getting ready to start
HRT. I need to try the fiber. Thank you so much for all your advice. And all you do for us, women.

  5. So..the audio is unrelated annoyin musi c- all the content is in the text. Which goes by too fast to read. Puse the video to be able to see the content at all – and item #1 is an incomplete sentence. Item 4 is talking about the "waste hip ratio" . Can't say I found this either informative or confidence inspiring..

  6. I think people are getting intermittent fasting and time-restricted eating confused – TRE is probably what most people do – stop eating at around 7pm and don't eating again until 7am. There's your 12-hour fast – and it's all we need to do. IFs are more full-on, such as 24-hour fasts, alternate-day fasting, or the 5:2 diet. I really wish these "experts" would just refer to time-restricted eating because that's usually what they mean and that's what the majority of us probably want to do.

  7. Testosterone supplementation negates the positive benefits of HRT? I’m confused. Isn’t it part of HRT? Is it only estrogen that has a positive effect? Because I ‘ve found that progesterone has increased my weight and breast size – not decreased it.

  8. Who else has begun adding 5 to 15 mg of Creatine? Perhaps it's not one of the necessary for fighting belly fat but it has helped with muscle and strength recovery. ❤ Dr Mary Claire Haver's straightforward facts of life! 🎁

  9. Dr. Haver you totally rock. I was referred to your channel by a dear friend of mine, who is also in menopause. Thanks for educating us because my Gyno has no clue!

  10. I don’t see any high quality RCT studies with strong support for probiotics or borage oil in regards to visceral fat reduction. Modest results at best. Anyone feel a direct correlation between using one of those and lower belly fat?

  11. Do I eat protein even if I am morbidly obese? Some people tell me to stop eating the protein because I am overweight. Eating more than the recommended amount could make me 500 pounds.

  12. 150 gms of protein a day is so much food your stomach will be feeling like (and looking like) its filled with rocks. Im 49 ive been eating high fiber, taking probiotics and doing intermittent fasting for years and in the last 3 months I've gained about 10 pounds in my hips and breasts for no reason

  13. ** SOMETIMES EXTRA PROTEIN MAKES YOU GAIN WEIGHT & BE BLOATED ***
It's called gluconeogenesis — the process by which your body converts protein into sugar — ✅️

** chronic inflammation causes the liver to reroute protein into fat storage ✅️

****High cortisol makes excess protein be stored as fat around your belly✅️

*** SO FIX YOUR GUT BIOME FIRST THEN INTRODUCE HIGH PROTEIN ✅️

*** If you have insulin resistance – your pancreas not processing protein as fuel for muscle mass

****Have a small breakfast BEFORE your coffee with a little bit of protein included – t9 balance your blood sugar levels which cortisol affects [cortisol high in the mornings after waking up]. So you dont need to do Intermittent fasting (>16 hours) at this phase ✅️

    * cut out sugar, processed food & snacking.

    * MOST IMPORTANTLY Try to reduce stress and get sufficient SLEEP to reduce cortisol. ✅️ I know easier said than done – but it's what wrecks your gut health too

** I HOPE THIS HELPS – because it sucks to be doing all the right things re high protein intake, exercising & getting more belly fat and bloat instead of a lean body and flat belly
    ❤❤❤❤❤
