  1. The strangest weight loss tip I ever got was to eat a piece of chocolate before going to a party or out to dinner. Not after, but before. It sounded like the worst advice ever but it actually works to prevent cravings and overeating. I have no idea what science is but it's been a game changer for my social life.

  2. Hi, im 43. The older I get, the more I realize there is NOTHING wrong with our older woman female body as most of these issues have to do with hormones and aging. What I do blame it on is on society. Society is the one that is delulu when it comes to female bodies. They put all these young female posters showing their mid section, everything and everyone is constantly bombarded by the "female hour glass figure" and how older women's bodies are gross or that we have given up in our looks when it really isn't entirely up to us. Sure we should always try but no woman can look 23 unless she is 23.

  3. I am 47, and I feel ashamed of how my body is now. That makes me so sad as I promised myself that I would never feel that way again. 😢
I just feel like I have no control over it. I do a deficit for a few days but I am really struggling to be consistent.
I have spent the past two years trying to get back to my normal weight and I have only increased!!
I have tried to find balance but find myself caught up in all or nothing thinking.
I have always been able to just decide to lose weight and then just do it, but now I don't sleep well and so I eat when I am not hungry. It's like I am doing everything I know I shouldn't!! It's so frustrating!!

  4. I went to the nutritionist and got a meal plan set up. I am on a 1200-calorie diet. I lift weights 3 times a week, and walk an hour every day. I don't drink anything except water, black coffee, or black tea. I don't have alcohol or sugar. I sleep well. And I haven't been able to lose a single gram.

  5. What type of practitioner did you go to to check your hormone levels? Was it your regular OB or do you go to a naturopath or a specialist? I'm at a loss of where to get tested. Currently I'm taking estradiol and progesterone through OB, but I was never tested to see what my hormone levels are and I don't even know where to begin 🙏

I'm currently 49 years old and I have been in menopause for at least a year now with no cycle. My sleep is affected as well as about 20 lb of unwanted weight gain despite a healthy vegetarian diet for over 20 years and regular exercise.

  6. 1: calorie deficit
2: protein increase to keep muscle mass
    3: eat enough
4: moving every day, 1 day strength training and some cardio 30-45 minutes
    5: hormones (get them balanced)
    6: sleep quality
    7: stress reduction
    8: drinking water
It’s about how you feel rather than how you look. Energy levels, function.

  7. Wish I had yoyr body! I had no issues with weight, but joe as I get older something changed. I was intermediate fasting and had so much hormonal issue when weaning my son from breastfeeding and gained 10 pounds that year. I’ve gone up another 10! I was skinny then, but now I feel more weight on my butt and a dining than I’d like!! I need to prioritize strength training, and cut out the sweets. I eat to many sweets! You have a wonderful body, that’s my goal!

  8. Thanks for this video. I am going to have my hormones checked. I am a muscular woman turned 41 this year and I am holding on to 7 pounds. I haven’t changed anything except my workout routine and for the past two months I can’t lose the 7 pounds it’s driving me insane. I eat clean and workout and have kept the same routine since 2017. I am at a loss

  9. I’ve always been thin without trying. I didn’t eat a lot just small meals throughout the day but I coho eat half a dark chocolate bar with zero issues. Now, over the last 2 years at 39 and after weaning my son, I gained weight. My hormones went crazy and I was doijg morning fasting and I think it hurt my metabolism and also probably getting closer to 40. I feel the extra 20 pounds and don’t feel great, but haven’t been able to lose it with exercise. I’m now tracking calories and with chocolate it would add way to many, so I have to cut that out and replace it with nutrient rich foods. I hope I can lose in

  10. I agree with everything 🙂 All of those things are the key to feeling good in and out: Everyday movement, enough of sleep and healthy, nutritious foods. It will make you feel great inside and out. I manage to developed discipline and healthy life style over last few years and I feel good and proud of it.

  11. I have a question in terms of eating animal proteins. There's a huge fight on whether or not if that is good for us or not? They keep saying that everyone should be on a plant based diet? Is that true in our case as women going through this stage in our lives? Sleep for me is not the problem lately for me. I sleep like a log and when I need to get up lately… I feel like I'm waking up from a damn coma lately. lol
